DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a method for creating registration marks for registration when creating a colorless transparent ink pattern such as an undercoat varnish or a final topcoat varnish on a printing substrate.

In multicolor printing, it is common practice to attach, for example, a cross-shaped registration mark for each color in a margin area outside the printed area to detect registration errors during overlapping printing. Furthermore, a method is also used in which misregistration of overprinting is automatically corrected using an optical method such as a phototube or a television camera.

However, even with the optical method described above, it was not possible to detect misregistration in the case of colorless transparent ink.

For this reason, coloring components such as pigments and dyes were added to colorless and transparent ink to create patterns that could be detected by optical methods. However, it has the disadvantage that it may not be able to be detected using standard methods.

Therefore, the registration of the colorless and transparent ink pattern has to rely on visual detection, and automatic detection has been difficult. For this reason, the printing speed had to be slowed down for visual detection, resulting in inefficient work.

An object of the present invention is to make it possible to automatically detect marks for registering a colorless and transparent ink pattern by providing registration marks in a separate process from colorless and transparent ink pattern printing.

以下本発明を図面に基づいて説明する。 The present invention will be explained below based on the drawings.

As shown in FIG. 1, the present invention provides a sensor detection mark 3 at the end 2 of a colorless transparent ink printing cylinder 1 in the process of printing a colorless transparent ink pattern, and optically detects the detection mark 3. The inkjet printer 5 provided outside the cylinder 1 is activated by the detected signal.

The detection mark provided on the cylinder may be provided at the same time as the colorless transparent ink pattern is made on the cylinder.

In this inkjet printer 5, when the sensor 4 detects the detection mark 3, a printing register mark 8 of a predetermined shape is placed in the margin at the end of the printing substrate 6.
This is a method for creating register marks for transparent ink pattern printing.

This register mark 8 can be provided at a position corresponding to the transparent ink pattern 7 because it reads the detection mark at the position corresponding to the transparent ink pattern printing portion of the cylinder 1 and is provided on the printing base material in accordance with the detection mark.

Note that the detection mark may be provided on the shaft provided on both sides of the cylinder instead of on the end of the cylinder, and the positional deviation between the detection mark provided on the shaft and the transparent ink pattern is set in advance, and the detection mark is placed on the shaft provided on both sides of the cylinder. When creating a register mark using a kijet printer, it can be placed at a position corresponding to a transparent ink pattern.

In this way, a detectable print register mark can be provided at a position corresponding to the transparent ink pattern at the same time as printing a colorless transparent pattern using varnish, etc., so this register mark can be detected using the same method as the conventional detection method. However, registration with other printing patterns can be performed automatically.

This makes it possible to increase the printing speed and to print efficiently and without misregistration compared to the conventional registration performed visually with colorless transparent patterns.

Furthermore, the conventional step of adding the lightest detectable color to a colorless and transparent ink is omitted, and there are no restrictions on use due to coloring, and the ink can be fully used in the initial or final process.
