[Detailed description of the invention] Industrial application field The present invention relates to lighting equipment installed in vehicles such as automobiles, and in particular to taillights and the like that use LEDs (light emitting diodes) as light sources.

〓Conventional technology〓 The conventional structure of this type of vehicle lamp is the one disclosed in “Public Utility Model Publication No. 135239/1980”, in which an LED corresponding to the end of the lens is used.
By making it more directional than others,
Unlike light bulbs, LEDs themselves have relatively narrow directivity, which solves the problem that when viewing a light from the side, there is little light emitted in that direction, making it difficult to see in the dark. It is.

〓Problems to be solved by the invention〓 However, the above-mentioned conventional lamp structure essentially has two types of lights with the same brightness but different directivity.
The problem is solved by using LEDs, so when you look at a light fixture with a wide directional LED at the end as explained above from the front, you will notice that this part has a wide directional characteristic. This caused problems in that the light became darker by that amount, causing uneven brightness and impairing the quality of the lamp itself.

〓Means for Solving the Problems〓 The present invention is a specific means for solving the problems that occur in the conventional ones as described above. , the lens cut provided on at least the left and right ends of the lens is made to have stronger or weaker diffusivity than other parts, and when the lens cut has strong diffusivity, the lens cut provided at the end part
LEDs are brighter than those placed in other parts
For a vehicle using an LED as a light source, characterized in that when the LED is weakly diffused, the LED disposed at the end is darker than the LED disposed in other parts. By providing a lamp, the above-mentioned conventional problems are solved.

What is indicated by the reference numeral 1 in FIG. 1 is a lamp, and this lamp 1 has a plurality of LEDs 3 arranged on a substrate 2 as in the conventional example, and a lens 4 is provided in front of the LEDs 3. Furthermore, the lens 4 has a structure in which the back side is covered with a housing 5, etc., but according to the present invention, the lens 4 has a spherical radius R of a lens cut formed as a spherical concave surface, for example, as shown in an enlarged view in FIG. By changing this, specifically by reducing the spherical radius R of the left and right ends, the lens cut 4a at the end of the lens 4 has a stronger diffusivity than the lens cut 4b at other parts. At the same time, the LED 3 is also sorted by brightness according to the present invention, and the brighter LED 3a
are arranged at the end of the substrate 2 so as to correspond to the end of the lens 4, and LEDs 3b which are darker than the LEDs 3b are arranged at other parts of the same substrate 2.

In addition, in implementation, there is no need for the manufacturer of the lamp 1 to perform selection based on the brightness of the LED 3.
It is normal for LED3 manufacturers to sort the classes at the time of shipment, so it is not particularly difficult to obtain them, and the use of both ranks by LED manufacturers also improves yield. As a result, cost reduction is expected.

In addition, FIG. 2 shows an example in which the diffusivity is gradually weakened from the lens cut 4a at the end of the lens 4 to the lens cut 4b at the center. It is preferable that the brightness unevenness that occurs in the
Two-stage lens cut 4c, 4d as shown in the figure
This can be carried out simply.

By doing this, the lamp 1 of the present invention has a lens cut 4a or 4 with strong diffusivity provided at the end.
c, this part emits light widely and improves visibility when viewing the lamp 1 from the side, and the bright LEDs 3a arranged corresponding to this part emit light even if it is widely diffused. To prevent uneven brightness on a light emitting surface of a lamp 1 without reducing lightness.

Although not shown in the drawings, the lens cut at the end of the lens 4 is made to have a weak diffusivity, so that the LED 3a disposed in this part is replaced with the LED 3a disposed in another part.
By making it darker than the LED 3b, the other parts widely diffuse the light and widen the viewing angle,
Moreover, a similar effect without causing brightness unevenness can be obtained. However, the overall brightness will be lower than the previous example. In implementation, an appropriate one may be selected depending on, for example, the shape of the lens 4 or the way it looks.

〓Effect of the invention〓 As explained above, according to the present invention, a vehicle lamp using an LED as a light source can be provided with a lens cut made at least on the left and right ends of the lens, which has a diffusivity different from that of the other parts, and By making the LED placed at this end different in brightness from the other parts, we solve the problem of insufficient light distribution that occurs in the left and right directions of this type of lighting, and also solve uneven brightness at the same time.
Furthermore, it is possible to reduce costs by widening the classes of LEDs used.
