A conventional antenna of this type is shown in FIG. In the figure, 1 is a radio device main body, and 2 is a whip-shaped antenna detachably attached to the radio device main body. Figure 2 is an explanatory diagram showing the current distribution of this whip-shaped antenna 2 using dotted lines. When the length of the antenna 2 is 1/4 of the wavelength of the radio waves to be transmitted and received, the current distribution as shown by the dotted lines in Figure 2 A standing wave is created and the antenna efficiency is maximized. When the length of the antenna 2 is shorter than 1/4 of the wavelength, a loading coil 3 is provided as shown in Figure 3 to tune the antenna 2 to the transmitting and receiving wavelength. Therefore, the efficiency of the antenna decreases.

In the conventional antenna configured as described above, the whip-shaped antenna 2, which has a length of 1/4 of the wavelength, protrudes from the radio device 1, so there is a risk of damaging the antenna 2 or hitting your eyes with the antenna 2. It has drawbacks such as being bulky and inconvenient to carry around, and the attachment/detachment part may break or contact failure occurs when repeatedly attached and detached. Another disadvantage is that when the length of the antenna 2 is sufficiently shortened and a large loading coil 3 is inserted to achieve tuning, the efficiency of the antenna 2 is significantly reduced.

This invention was made in order to eliminate the drawbacks of the conventional ones as described above. In this invention, when the radio device casing is used as a grounding body, a conductive plate that forms a capacitance with respect to this grounding body is connected to the antenna. Therefore, we decided to use an impedance stub consisting of a feeder line for antenna tuning.

Embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. FIG. 4 is a perspective view showing an embodiment of the present invention, and in the figure, 1 indicates a radio device body as in 1 of FIG. 1, and the radio device is built in a conductive case. is connected to the ground terminal of the radio.
Reference numeral 4 indicates a conductive plate provided to form a capacitance between the conductive case, 5 indicates a coaxial antenna connection terminal attached to the radio body 1, and 6 indicates the terminal 5 and the conductive plate 4. (However, since only its center conductor is connected to conductor plate 4,
(can also be composed of a conductor rod for power supply), 7 is branched from a predetermined point on the power supply line 6, and the other end is connected to a predetermined point on the conductive case of the radio main body 1 to prevent a short circuit. This is a coaxial matching feed line that constitutes an impedance stub. Reference numeral 8 denotes a resin cover having a structure to cover and support the radio main body 1 and the conductor plate 4.

FIG. 5 is an explanatory diagram equivalently showing the antenna configuration shown in FIG. 4, in which the same reference numerals as in FIG. It is conventionally known that the antenna constitutes a so-called top-loading type antenna, and that the antenna efficiency does not decrease even if the actual height of the antenna is low.

FIG. 6 is a diagram showing the principle of impedance matching of this antenna, FIG. 6a is a sectional view showing the configuration of the matching section, and FIG. 6b is a connection diagram showing its equivalent circuit. In FIG. 6, the same reference numerals as in FIG. 4 indicate the same parts, and the position of the branch point A of the feeder lines 6 and 7,
Adjusting the length from the point to the short-circuit point B of the feed line 7 means adjusting the lengths l 1 and l 2 in the equivalent circuit shown in FIG. No matter what value the point impedance Zr has, it can be matched to the characteristic impedance Zo of the feed line 6.

In the above embodiment, coaxial feeder lines are used for the feeder lines 6 and 7, but they may also be configured using plate-shaped or parallel two-wire feeder lines, or by using a waveguide. It is sufficient if it is configured with a transmission line for high frequency power.

FIG. 7 is a perspective view showing another embodiment of the present invention, in which the same reference numerals as in FIG. 4 indicate the same parts, and 9
is a printed circuit board, and the power supply lines 6 and 7 are formed on the printed circuit board 9.

As described above, according to the present invention, since the top-loading type antenna matched by the impedance stub is used, the protrusion caused by the antenna can be removed without reducing the antenna efficiency, and the handling is easy. An antenna that is less likely to be damaged can be obtained.
