法に関するものである。

3によつて締付けて電流を流すため、端面4cの
面粗度が大変重要である。そこで従来は端子1の
製造過程において第5図の加工方法を採用してい
た。即ち、端子1に穴1aをあけた後、バーリン
グ部4aを加工する。その時、バリ・ワレ4bが
発生するので、その後刃物5によつて端子1のバ
ーリング部4aの端面4cを削り加工した後、刃
物6により面取り4dを行い、タツプ7でねじ部
4eを加工する。なお場合によつては平面部4f
に接続子2が接続されることもある。

この発明の方法は、端子のバーリングの端面を

じて面取も同時加工し、バーリングの出ている反
対側も塑性変形させて接触面をより多くしたもの
である。

以下この発明の一実施例を図について説明す
る。第1図のように、端子1にバーリング用下穴
1aをあけた後、バーリング部4aを形成する。
その時、バリ・ワレ4bが発生し面粗度が悪いの
で、次の工程で第2図のような成形治具を使用
し、受台9と成形刃8にパイロツト部8aを設け
たものの間に端子1をはさみ込み、端子1のバー
リングの端面4cと平面部4fと面取り4dを塑
性変形により加工する。その後タツプ7にてねじ
部4eを加工する。なお面取り4dはタツプ加工
時のふくれを逃げるためのものである。なお上記
のものではバーリング4a形成後に端面4cを加
工するものとしたが、バーリング4a形成時に端
面4cと面取り4dを同時に加工してもよい。ま
たバーリング4a形成後、端面4cと面取り4d
を2工程に分けて加工してもよく、この時、面取
り4dの加工は刃物6で加工してもよい。
