Abstract

PURPOSE:To miniaturize an extreme end inverting mechanism by rotating a paper sheet or the like about 180 deg. with a vane wheel, stopping rotation of the extreme end of the paper sheet with an accumulating plate, and scraping out the paper sheet in the reverse direction against rotation of the vane wheel with a sweeper. CONSTITUTION:A paper sheet or the like 8 carried in the A direction with carrying rollers 2a, 2b, is brought into between the vanes 3a, 3b of a rotating vane wheel 3 in the B direction and rotated. The front end of the paper sheet or the like 8 is stopped with an accumulating plate 4 on the position at rotation of about 180 deg. of the vane wheel 3, and only the rear end is continued to rotate. When the rear end is approached to the accumulating plate 4, it is struck downwards with an elastic sweeper 5 rotating in the C direction, further pulled in the reverse direction against the A direction, and the extreme end of the paper sheet or the like 8 is inverted and carried.
