Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the superposition of printing paper on that of the previous page by a method wherein the second paper is picked without waiting the exposure of the first paper and the paper on a feed path is allowed to stand by when the development of the dot pattern of printing data is not finished at the exposure time of the first paper. CONSTITUTION:The paper in a main hopper 13 is picked up by a paper feed mechanism to be sent out to a paper feed path 22 and a printing dot pattern is exposed to a photosensitive drum 21 by a light emitting body 18 and the exposed printing data is transferred to the paper in a printing part 25. The paper passing on the printing part 25 is subjected to fixing processing by a heating roller 26 to be sent to a stacker 19. Resists 23, 24 stop the paper 20 on the paper feed path temporarily when the exposure processing of the data to be printed on the paper 20 to the photosensitive drum 21 is delayed from predetermined time. The resists 23, 24 are controlled by resist control mechanisms 17, 16 and, when the development of a printing dot pattern is delayed in the printing control apparatus 11 and exposure is too late for predetermined time, said mechanisms 17, 16 bring the resists 23, 24 to an effective state on the basis of the instruction of the printing control apparatus 11.

In the time chart of FIG. 2(C), if the printed dot pattern has not been developed in the full dot memory 54 by the time of the first exposure 41, the exposure time is delayed and the exposure is performed after the printed dot pattern is developed. In this case, the transfer is performed t1 after exposure, but since the paper 20 on the paper transport path 22 is picked up and arrives at the transfer roller 31 later, the resist is placed before the transfer point on the paper transport path 22. 23
is provided, and the conveyance of the paper is inhibited by the register 1-23.

The pick operation for the second sheet is executed after the exposure operation for the first sheet is completed. This is to prevent two or more sheets of paper from overlapping on the paper transport path 22. The completion of the exposure operation means that the transfer will be performed after a certain period of time, and indicates that a new sheet of paper may be picked into the sheet transport path 22.

In the above conventional technology, when the relationship between the distance between the pick point 3° and the transfer point 31 in FIG. 2, the distance 1 between the exposure point 32 and the transfer point 31, and the conveyed paper interval m is "m L-1", Continuous printing becomes impossible. That is, the interval between the picks becomes rt, -t+J, and the paper cannot be conveyed at an interval of t1. The time relationship in this case is shown in FIG.

FIG. 1 is a diagram showing the interior of the printing device 12. As shown in FIG. The paper in the main hopper 13 is picked by the paper feed mechanism 14,
The paper is sent out to the paper transport path 22. The printed dot pattern is exposed onto the photosensitive drum 21 by the light emitter 18. The exposed print data is transferred onto paper by the printing unit 25. The paper that has passed over the printing section 25 is fixed by a heat roller 26 and sent to a stacker 19. The resists 23 and 24 are used to temporarily stop the paper 20 on the paper transport path when the exposure process of the data to be printed on the paper 2o onto the photosensitive drum 21 is delayed beyond a predetermined time. Resist 23.24
is controlled by a registration control mechanism 17.16. In the print control device 11, the registration control mechanism 17.16 activates the resists 23.24 in response to instructions from the print control device 11 if the exposure is not completed in time due to a delay in the development of the printed dot pattern. Expansion hopper 1
Reference numeral 5 denotes a hopper that supplies paper when the main hopper 13 runs out of paper, which allows continuous printing even while paper is being replaced.

The predetermined exposure time is the exposure timing shown in FIG. As can be seen from this time chart, the second sheet of paper is picked without waiting for the exposure of the first sheet. While the exposure process is being performed at the timing shown in Figure 5, the resist 23.2
4 is not working and printing is performed at the optimum speed.

In the case of L -1>2 m, the number of resists on paper conveyance may be added by one, and the third sheet may be picked without waiting for the exposure of the first sheet. In this way, if the number of resists is prepared according to the distance between the hopper and the photosensitive drum, paper can be fed at an optimal speed and high-speed printing can be achieved.

According to the present invention, even if the relationship between the distance iJ L between the pick point and the transfer point, the distance 1 between the exposure point and the transfer point, and the minimum printable paper starting point distance m is rm<L-IJ, the paper distance m You can feed paper with . Therefore, high-speed printing is possible even in the case of rm (L-IJ). rm<L-IJ means that the distance aL between the pick point and the transfer point can be made longer.Generally, in cases where multiple hoppers are provided or a large capacity is The distance between the pick point and the transfer point becomes longer, and the present invention exhibits its effects.
