Abstract

PURPOSE:To detect and display the video signal of a magnetic tape at the time of traveling of a magnetic head without deteriorating images by providing a video signal detecting head between a sound head and a control head. CONSTITUTION:The sound head 22 which records and reproduces sounds, the control head 23 necessary for controlling the traveling speed of the magnetic tape and the video signal detecting head 24 which detects the video signal of the magnetic tape under traveling existing therebetween are provided. A sound erasing head 25 is provided adjacently to the sound control head 21. Namely, the video signal is detected by the video signal detecting head provided in a dummy head part and the dummy head part can be utilized effectively for detecting the video signal.
