Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a decorative sheet exhibiting beautiful appearance having uniform relief pattern by coating a surface of a spun-bond cloth with a coating agent using a gravure coater. CONSTITUTION:A surface of a spun-bond cloth is gravure coated with a coating agent produced by adding a pigment, filler, etc., to a coating agent such as cellulosic natural resin or vinyl chloride (co)polymer. The part having high density is exclusively coated by this process to obtain a beautiful decorative sheet having a relief appearance. The sheet is suitable as a packaging material or a raw material for envelope. etc.

(Problems to be Solved by the Invention) Spunbond cloth is a cloth-like or paper-like sheet made by bonding a web in which filaments are randomly arranged at the intersections of the filaments. There are areas where the filaments intersect, i.e., areas with high density, and areas where the filaments intersect, i.e., areas with low density. However, depending on the manufacturing process, it can be observed that there is an extremely wide variety of shapes, such as feather-like shapes, spiral shapes, and natural stone mottled shapes.

When such spunbond fabrics are entirely or partially treated with dyes, paints, inks, varnishes, or other processing agents or coatings using normal dipping or coating methods, the hue will vary depending on the density distribution of the spunbond fabrics. This results in uneven gloss and gives a very dirty impression. Therefore, when adding decorations, it is best to avoid solid painted areas as much as possible in the design, or apply a sealant in advance, then dip or apply a treatment agent or coating agent, etc. The actual situation is that they are engaged in engineering, printing, etc.

(Means for Solving the Problem) The present inventors studied spunbond cloth coated with various coating agents, and found that the coating film in the dense areas was smooth and exhibited beautiful color and gloss. The low-density areas have a porous shape, and the coating material is applied to the inner surface of the pores to form an irregular coating film, so the amount of incident light is smaller than the high-density areas, and the reflected light is also directed in different directions. It was observed that the color was restricted and exhibited a dull color tone, resulting in an overall dirty and uneven surface.

Based on the above knowledge, the inventors conducted repeated research and found that
By the gravure printing method using a gravure plate! 1! By applying coating agents such as dyes, gravure inks, and varnishes to spunbond cloth, the coating film in areas with high density is smooth and develops a desired gloss and hue, but the coating film in areas with low density is coated. Almost no agent is applied and many beautiful matte white areas remain, resulting in various patterns such as feathers, spirals, and mottled patterns of natural stones such as marble, depending on the distribution shape of the dense areas of the spunbond fabric. Uses that require aesthetic appeal, such as wallpaper, decorative paper, and packaging materials for daily necessities such as pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, food, beverages, and clothing, and materials for postal envelopes that appear raised. They discovered that a useful decorative sheet could be obtained and completed the present invention.

The material and manufacturing method of the spunbond cloth used in the decorative sheet of the present invention are not specified, and the thickness and length of the filament may be arbitrarily selected, and the stretching method, presence or absence of a binder, type, etc. Optional. Furthermore, the thickness of the spunbond cloth is not limited as long as it can be selected depending on the purpose of the decorative sheet, and the material of the filament should also be selected appropriately depending on the purpose. Polyethylene terephthalate (PET), polyethylene, polypropylene Commercially available spunbond fabrics such as , nylon, etc. can all be used.

The coating material used in the decorative sheet of the present invention is not specified; it should be selected depending on the adhesion to the spunbond fabric and the required performance as a decorative sheet, as well as the conditions required for ordinary printing and coating. For example, cellulose-based, hard resin thread ring natural resin-based, vinyl chloride (co)polymer, acrylic (co)polymer, ethylene/vinyl acetate resin, modified polyethylene resin, modified polypropylene resin, polyester resin, Resin solutions and resin dispersions of known thermoplastic resins such as modified nylon resins and known thermosetting resins such as urethane resins, epoxy resins, thermosetting acrylic resins, oil-free alkyd resins, and amine resins, either alone or in combination of two or more. Examples include coating agents using a liquid or a solvent-free resin liquid as a vehicle.

In addition, clear paints that do not contain insoluble components such as pigments, fillers such as extender pigments, and erasers such as silica powder, or colorless coatings that contain extender pigments and matting agents but do not contain colored pigments, are also used. It is possible to create a beautiful decorative pattern by changing the gloss and other textures only in the denser parts of the spunbond cloth.

In the decorative sheet of the present invention, the coating material is applied using a gravure plate, but the gravure plate may be manufactured by a known method, i.e., an ordinary gravure plate, a net gravure plate, or a gravure plate by electronic engraving method. There is no particular limit to the screen density, but it is suitable for use between 80 and 250 lines, preferably between 120 and 1904 lines. It is. In addition, the depth of the gravure plate may be within the range of a normal gravure plate, and a range of several μ to 120 μ is appropriate.
Further, a range of 5μ to 50μ is preferable.

(Functions and Effects) The decorative sheet of the present invention is obtained by applying a coating agent to the surface of spunbond cloth using a gravure plate, but spunbond cloth is a web in which filaments are randomly arranged as described above. are bonded together at the intersections of filaments to form a cloth-like or paper-like sheet, and areas of high density and areas of low density exist irregularly.

However, in the decorative sheet of the present invention, since the coating agent is applied to the surface of the spunbond cloth using a gravure plate, no printing pressure is applied to areas with low density, and therefore almost no transfer of the coating agent occurs. Only the denser areas are coated, creating a pattern that stands out and gives a beautiful appearance.
