Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent leakage of electromagnetic radiation by providing the end part of a first wall being bent along other part to define a cavity for grasping the arm part of a coupling member, and a second wall to be coupled with the first wall. CONSTITUTION: A protrusion 38 to be received in the opening 39 at the turnup part 12 of the lower part 11 of an upper housing member 10 is provided at the lower part of arm part 31 of a coupling member 30. The protrusion 38 assists to fix the member 30 to the member 10. The member 30 is made of a thin flexible metal having resiliency. The member 30 is positioned such that the upper part 21 of a lower housing member 20 is received between the arm parts 31, 32 of coupling member when the member 10 is combined with the member 20. Since the upper part 21 of member 20 advances into the member 30 and the arm part 32 is urged to the right while resisting against the resiliency, the members 30, 20 come into stabilized contact with each other.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION Field of Industrial Application The present invention comprises a pair of housing members whose respective walls are removably coupled to each other, and a housing member which is attached to a first wall of the walls and coupled to a second wall. The present invention relates to a casing for, for example, a personal computer, of the type consisting of a coupling member. Such a housing will be referred to below as a housing of the type mentioned above.

In reality, if the housing of an electrical appliance is a closed loop, the generated EMR will not leak. Typically, a computer case consists of a top case member and a top case member, with two areas where EMR can leak. - one is the back where many slots are provided for connectors of add-on cards, and the other is the junction of the upper and lower housing members.

The N-type plate also has a problem because the N-type plate is attached to the upper housing member by melting. Thermal stress caused by welding not only deforms the N-shaped plate, but also destroys the coating of the upper housing member, such as the vinyl coating commonly used for computer housing coatings.

FIG. 1 shows an upper housing member 10° and a lower housing member 20° according to the prior art. and N welded to the lower part 11 of the upper member 10
The mold connection plate 15 is shown. When the housing members 10 and 20 are closed, the upper part 21 of the lower member is received in the gap between the arm 16 of the plate 15 and the upper housing member 10.

As can be seen from FIG. 1, when the N-shaped plate 15 is deformed due to thermal stress or external force, for example, the upper part 2 of the lower housing member 20
Poor contact with 1. Further, since the iron plate 15 has almost no flexibility, the N-shaped plate 15 and the wall 11 of the upper housing member 10
It is not easy to control the spacing. If the interval is too wide, the contact between the N-shaped plate 15 and the F section housing member will be poor. If the interval is too narrow, it will be difficult to attach the upper housing member 10 to the lower housing member.

As shown most clearly in FIG. 4, the lower part of the arm 31 of the coupling member 30 is provided with a number of protrusions 38 which are received within openings 39 in the flap 12 of the lower part 11 of the upper housing member 10. It will be done. These protrusions 38 assist in securing the coupling member 30 to the upper housing member 10.

As will be described later, the upper part 21 of the lower housing member 20 is connected to the connecting member 3.
0, the arm portion 32 resists its elasticity and moves into the third.
Since it is biased toward the right in FIGS. 4 and 5, the coupling member 30 and the lower housing member make stable contact.

As shown in FIGS. 2 and 3A, the coupling member 30 has an elongated shape, and the outermost portion of the arm 32 in the lateral direction has a portion that guides the upper portion 21 of the lower housing member 20 into the coupling member. It is bent outwardly to form a guide portion 37 which helps to do so.

As shown most clearly in FIG. 4, the arms 32 of the coupling member 30 are provided with a number of coupling bosses 34 that project into cavities 33 defined between the arms. The tip 35 of the coupling boss 34 is urged into the cavity 33 and the lower housing member 20
When inserting the upper part 21 into the cavity 33, the coupling boss 34 is rotated against the force so that it makes good and stable contact with the lower housing member. This is clearly shown in FIG. 5, which clearly shows that the upper part 21 of the lower housing member 20 contacts the coupling member 34 with the upper and lower housing members 10 and 20 in the closed position. Because the coupling member 30 is at such a position, electromagnetic radiation does not leak from the housing because the housing member provides an EMR barrier due to the continuous electrical loop formed through the coupling member.
