動作波長をシフトさせた場合の損失波長特性例を
示す図、第４図及び第５図はそれぞれ外径を変え
ることのできるコイル支持体を例示した断面図で
ある。 図中、１はコイル型光フアイバ偏光子、２はコ
イル支持体、３は偏波面保存光フアイバ、４は外
周部、５は中空部、６は調整バルブ、７はコイル
支持体の外周部としての筒、８はクサビ状芯材で
ある。

Claims (1)
- 半径方向に伸縮可能なコイル支持体の外周部に
偏波面保存光フアイバを巻回し、コイル支持体の
外周部を半径方向に伸縮させる手段を設け、上記
偏波面保存光フアイバの張力を可変にしたことを
特徴とするコイル型光フアイバ偏光子。
