Abstract

PURPOSE:To correct the position of a sheet metal before it is caulked by making a holding sheet metal forcedly and variably advancing a pressure member before the sheet metal is caulked. CONSTITUTION:When the sheet metal 3 is caulked, a holding cylinder 13 abuts with the sheet metal 3 before the pressure head 15 abuts with it and the sheet metal 3 is inserted and held freely slidably between a supporting member 7 and the holding cylinder 13. Then, a pressure head 15 abuts with the caulking position of the sheet metal 3. Consequently, the time to move the desired caulking position on the sheet metal 3 to the actual caulking position is secured further to the difference between the times for which the holding cylinder 13 and the pressure head 15 respectively are abutted with the sheet metal 3. Thus, the position of the sheet metal can be corrected before the sheet metal is caulked.

In the conventional glue bedless caulking device as described above, the two sheet metals to be overlapped are supported on a support member toward a predetermined caulking device, and are pressed against the support member by a pressure member operated by a hydraulic piston mechanism. sandwiched between. Then, as the pressure member continues to press the sheet metal, the two sheet metals are caulked according to the shape of the caulking groove formed on the sheet metal support surface of the support member, and 1, are joined to each other.

In this way, the conventional glue bedless sheet metal caulking device can plastically deform the sheet metal itself for caulking, eliminating the need for rivets as caulking members and eliminating the need to drill pilot holes into the sheet metal to insert the rivets. Since there is no hole, there is no need for the step of forming a pilot hole, and there is no punching residue. Therefore, the above sheet metal crimping device
It was excellent in that it did not contaminate the working environment and was easy to work with.

However, in the conventional sheet metal caulking device as described above, since the caulking operation is performed at the same time as the sheet metal is supported by the support member, there is no time to accurately align the caulking position with the position held by the support member, and the caulking point The disadvantage was that the positioning accuracy was poor. Furthermore, since the sheet metal is only manually attached to the support member, there is a problem in that the sheet metal moves slightly just before the caulking operation and may be worn away from the desired caulking position.

In order to achieve the above object, the main means adopted by the present invention are: a pressurizing part body; a cradle body connected to the cradle body, and a pedestal body provided on the pressurizing part body side,
A pressure member that reciprocates so as to press two sheet metals inserted in an overlapping manner between the pressure unit main body and the cradle body, and a pressure member that is provided on the cradle body side and that is similar to the pressure member. A sheet metal caulking device comprising: a pedestal shaft; and a support member disposed at the tip of the pedestal shaft for holding the sheet metal between the pressing member and tightening the sheet metal to each other. , a holding member that is slidably provided between the inner wall of the pressure section main body and the pressure member and that holds the sheet metal between the support member and the support member when the sheet metal is caulked; In this case, the holding member is provided with a time difference clamping means for clamping the sheet metal before the pressing member, and a pressing force setting means for setting the pressing force of the pressing member against the sheet metal to be larger than the pressing force of the holding member. This is a sheet metal caulking device characterized by the following.

Here, the holding member clamps the sheet metal prior to the pressing member by the time difference clamping means. Further, since the pressing force applied to the sheet metal by the holding member is weak, the sheet metal can be freely slid while being clamped by the holding member, and the caulking position of the sheet metal can be set with high accuracy by visual inspection. Thereafter, the pressing member presses the sheet metal between the pressing member and the supporting member with a large force set by the pressing force setting means, and the caulking operation is completed once.

Then, when the pressure oil is gradually injected into the pressurizing section main body 2 from the oil outlet nozzle 20, a pressurizing force in the caulking direction is generated on each of the first piston 12 and the second piston 14. However, at this time, the second piston 14 is urged toward the upstream side in the caulking direction by the spring 22, and the first piston 12
The second piston 1 described above is slidable with respect to the piston 14 and is not subjected to resistance in the caulking direction.
When the pressing force applied to the second piston 14 exceeds the biasing force of the spring 22, the second piston 14 begins to move in the caulking direction. The first piston 12, which has a relatively small resistance compared to the second piston 14, has a ring 17 that is connected to the second piston 12.
While in contact with the upstream end of the piston 14 in the caulking direction,
In other words, the respective tips of the holding cylinder 13 and the pressurizing head 15 move toward the sheet metal 3 placed on the support member 7 while being substantially flush with each other in the caulking direction.

At this time, since the pressure receiving area of the first piston 12 is much smaller than the pressure receiving area of the second piston 14, the holding member 13
The pressurizing force on the sheet metal 3 is relatively small, and the sheet metal 3 held as described above has its caulking position a at the pressurizing head 1.
5, the position can be slid and moved while not being significantly plastically deformed. That is, even if the portion on the sheet metal 3 that the holding cylinder 13 abuts is at a position where it has been worn away from the desired preset caulking position, the actual caulking position a

Here, the sheet metal caulking device 11 according to this embodiment has a first
The difference from the sheet metal caulking device 1 according to the embodiment is that the pressurizing member 4. When the ends of the holding fli 13 come into contact with each other, the tip of the holding fli 13 is in a state where it has advanced further toward the pedestal portion lO than the tip of the pressurizing rod 15°.

When caulking the sheet metal 3, the holding cylinder 13 is moved by the pressure head 15. 0, which comes into contact with the sheet metal 3 prior to and holds the sheet metal 3 by pressing it with the supporting member 7 so as to be slidable.
The pressure head 151 comes into contact with the caulking position 3 of the sheet metal 3.

In each of the above-mentioned examples, two superimposed sheet metals 3 were caulked, but the number of superposed sheet metals 3 was three.
It should be noted that even if the sheet metals 3 are made of sheets, each sheet metal 3 can be firmly caulked in one direction with a constant degree of caulking.

As described above, the present invention provides a pressurizing section main body, a pedestal main body disposed opposite to the pressurizing section main body and integrally connected to the pressurizing section main body, and a pressurizing section main body. a pressure member that is provided on the side and moves back and forth so as to press two sheet metals that are overlapped and inserted between the pressure section main body and the pedestal main body;
A pedestal shaft is provided on the pedestal main body side and is connected to the pressure member; A sheet metal caulking device comprising a support member for caulking, which is slidably provided between an inner wall of the pressurizing section main body and the pressurizing member, and the support member is provided when caulking the sheet metal. a holding member that clamps the sheet metal between the sheet metal; a time difference pressing means for the holding member to clamp the sheet metal before the pressing member when caulking the sheet metal; and a holding member that applies the pressing force of the pressing member to the sheet metal. The sheet metal crimping device is characterized in that it is equipped with a pressing force setting means that is set to be larger than the pressing force of the sheet metal crimping device.
Since the holding member displaceably presses the sheet metal prior to the pressing member before caulking the sheet metal, the position of the sheet metal can be corrected before caulking.

さらに、板金をかしめる際にも、保持部材により常に一

Furthermore, even when the sheet metal is caulked, the holding member always performs a constant caulking operation of the sheet metal, so that variations in the degree of caulking of the sheet metal are reduced.
