Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a wiper device which is simple and reduced in size and weight by a method wherein, in a side mirror for an automobile, a support part capable of performing meandering movement throughout the whole area of the mirror surface thereof is disposed, and a wiper blade is mounted throughout the overall length of the support part. CONSTITUTION:In a side mirror 4 for an automobile, a support part 1 capable of performing meandering movement and formed by a metal, synthetic resin, and rubber is disposed throughout the whole area of the mirror surface thereof. A wiper blade 2 to wipe contaminant adhered to the mirror surface is mounted throughout the overall length of the support part 1. A pair of rotary axles 3 are disposed on the diagonal line of the mirror surface, and the both ends of the support part 1 are mounted to each to each rotary axle 3. The one rotary axle 3 is alternately rotated forward and reversed, and the support part 1 is forced to effect meandering movement alternately in forward and reverse directions between the one and the other axle 3. This constitution causes the wiper blade 2 to perform wiping movement through simple, small, and light constitution, and enables it to be applied to other mirror, light, and ski goggle.

Conventional wiper devices have a limited area that can remove water droplets and dirt from the surface. In addition, small wiper devices such as wipers for car side mirrors, headlights, and ski goggles have a large number of parts such as wiper blades, support rods, link devices, and presser springs that extend outward, and their structures are complex and large. It wasn't very noticeable. Additionally, wiper devices such as side mirrors and fender mirrors have the disadvantage that they obstruct the field of vision even when the device is not in operation, in addition to confirming the safety of the rear.

The purpose of this invention is to reduce the amount of wiped surface, reduce the number of parts, and make the wiper device compact compared to conventional wiper devices, so that it does not obstruct the field of vision.

To explain this invention based on the drawings, a wiper blade (2) is attached to a support part (1) made of metal, synthetic resin, rubber, etc. and capable of bending movement, and the rotating shaft (3) is interlocked with the wiper blade (2).
) is rotated as shown in Figure 2, the support part (1) linked to the rotating shaft (3) begins to bend, and the frame (4) that was at the beginning begins to bend.

When the other rotating shaft (3) is also rotated and all of the supporting parts (1) have moved to the opposite side from the initial position, when the rotating shaft (3) is rotated in the opposite direction, the supporting parts will start to bend again and return to their original positions. Further, although the same effect can be obtained even if there is only one rotating shaft as shown in FIG. 3, it is more stable if the rotating shafts (3) are on both sides as shown in FIG.

As shown in Fig. 5(a), depending on the material of the wiper blade (2), the support part (1) and the wiper blade (2) can be integrated and used in common, and the wiping surface as shown in Fig. 5(b). A spring (
5) can be installed. Further, FIG. 6 shows an example in which the support portion (1) is curved to match the surface to be wiped.

Experiments have shown that this wiper device can be manufactured with a compact external shape, does not obstruct the field of view when not in use, and does not obstruct the field of view while in use. Also, water drops and dirt can be wiped clean from almost the entire surface. Furthermore, if the wiper blade is manufactured integrally with the support part, the wiper blade can be easily replaced.
