Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the overlapping of skin constituent bodies and contrive to reduce cost by a method wherein skin-forming materials, which are different in color form each other, are heated by the heat of a mold so as to form the skin constituent bodies, the shapes of which correspond to those of partitioned forming surfaces of the mold and having at the portions corresponding to a partition plate welding allowances. CONSTITUTION:First skin-forming material 16 and second skin-forming material 17, which are different in color from each other, are respectively charged in a first partition chamber 13 and a second partition chamber 14, which are partitioned with a partition plate 12, of a mold 8 and heated by the heat of the mold 8 so as to form a first skin constituent body 5 and a second skin constituent body 6, the shapes of which correspond to those of partitioned forming surfaces of the mold 8, and, at the same time, resin pieces 5a and 5b are welding allowances at the adjacent parts of the first and the second skin constituent bodies 5 and 6. After that, said resin pieces are welded together with a welder device and at the same time their portions excluding the weld are cut off with a cutter so as to obtain a variegated skin material 1. The obtained skin material 1 has no overlapped portions of the first and the second skin constituent bodies 5 and 6, resulting in eliminating the loses of the first and the second skin forming materials 16 and 17 and contriving to reduce cost.

(Prior Art) Conventionally, as a method for producing a unique skin material, for example, as disclosed in JP-A-59-159309, the inside of a mold is divided into two first and second parts by a partition plate. First, a skin molding material is supplied to one of the first compartments and heated at the mold temperature of the mold to correspond to the shape of the molding surface of the first compartment. The first skin structure is molded. Next, after discharging the skin molding material from the first compartment by inverting the mold, a skin molding material different in color from the skin molding material is supplied to the mold from which the partition plate has been removed. By heating at the mold temperature of the mold, a second skin structure corresponding to the shape of the molding surface of the second compartment was formed, whereby the first and second skin structures were integrally joined. Methods of obtaining unique skin materials are known.

(Problems to be Solved by the Invention) However, in the above conventional method, when molding the second skin structure, the partition plate that partitions the first and second compartments is removed, and the entire molding surface of the mold is Since the skin forming material for forming the skin structure is supplied, the first skin structure of the obtained unique skin material is overlapped with the second skin structure, and the skin forming material is wasted accordingly. There was a problem that the cost would increase. Furthermore, in the above-described method, the skin forming material must be supplied to the mold every time the first and second skin structures are molded, and therefore the mold must be inverted each time. There was also the problem that the number of molding steps increased, reducing work efficiency.

(Means for Solving the Problems) In order to achieve the above object, the solving means of the present invention first divides the inside of a mold into a plurality of compartments using partition plates. Next, a skin molding material of a different color is supplied to each of the formed compartments and heated at the mold temperature of the mold, so that the partition part of the partition plate corresponds to the shape of the compartment molding surface part of the mold. A uniquely colored skin structure with a welding margin in the area corresponding to the area is molded. Thereafter, after the skin molding material is discharged from each compartment of the mold, the welding margins of the skin structures are welded together.

Then, in this state, the mold 8 is heated by circulating heating oil through the temperature adjustment pipe 11. As a result, the first and second skin molding materials 16.17 on the molding surface 7 side in both the first and second compartments 13.14 are heated, and as shown in FIG. At the mold temperature, first and second skin structures 5.6 corresponding to the shapes of the compartment molding surfaces in both the first and second compartments 13.14 are molded. In addition, a resin piece corresponding to the tapered shape of the tapered portion 12a of the partition plate 12 is provided at a portion corresponding to the partition portion of the partition plate 12, that is, at the boundary between the first skin structure 5 and the second skin structure 6. 5a and 6a are molded by the mold temperature of the tapered portion 12a heated by the heat dissipation action of the heating wire 15.

(Effects of the Invention) As explained above, according to the method of the present invention, a skin molding material of a different color is supplied to each of the plurality of compartments formed by partitioning a mold with partition plates, and is heated at the mold temperature of the mold. By doing this, a unique skin structure is molded that corresponds to the shape of the compartment molding surface of the mold and has a welding margin at the part corresponding to the partition of the partition plate, and then the skin is removed from each compartment of the mold. Since the welding margins of the respective skin structures are welded together after the molding material is discharged, it is possible to eliminate waste due to overlapping of the skin structures and reduce costs. In addition, different skin molding materials can be simultaneously supplied to the mold, and only one reversal operation is required, thereby improving work efficiency.
