Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate bubbles developing through vaporization in material and consequently deliver the exact amount of material by a method wherein a relief valve is provided between the material delivery port of a plastic material metering and delivery mechanism and delivery nozzle so as to set the relief pressure of said valve higher than the vapor pressure of the material at the temperature of the material at the material delivery port. CONSTITUTION:A relief valve 18 is interposed between the delivery port 16 of a metering and delivery mechanism 4 and a delivery nozzle 17. A pressure detector 19 is connencted to the delivery port 16. When the pressure of material at the delivery port 16 is higher than the relief pressure of the relief valve 18, the relief valve 18 opens and the material discharges from the delivery nozzle 17. At the same time, the relief pressure of the relief valve 18 is set higher than the vapor pressure of the material at the delivery port at its melting temperature so as to keep the pressure of the molten polymer higher than its vapor pressure.
