Conventional technology In RIM molding, two types of low-molecular stock solutions are mixed and injected into a closed mold, and reacted within the mold to form a polymer, but voids occur during the reaction. Especially in the case of foamed RIM molding, voids tend to become large.

It is necessary to repair defects such as voids after molding, and conventional foamed urethane
As a repair method for RIM molded products, for example, as shown in Figures 9 and 10, foamed urethane RIM
The repaired surface 32' of the defective part 32 of the molded product 31 is degreased with white gasoline, and a commercially available urethane patch 33 is used.
The repaired surface was injected and cured, then the repaired surface was polished flat and painted if necessary, but this conventional method for repairing foamed urethane RIM molded products uses a material different from the material of the molded product as a repair material. Since the urethane paste was used, the adhesion between the molded product 31 and the urethane paste repair material 33 was poor, and the hardness and coefficient of thermal expansion of the two were different. The material 33 is the repaired surface 3 of the molded product 31
There is a drawback that it may peel off from 2', expand due to heat,
There was a drawback that the repaired part was deformed due to shrinkage. In order to overcome this problem, it is possible to use the same material as the molded product as a repair material, but since the repair work is done outside the mold at normal temperature and pressure, in other words, it is difficult to mold the molded product. Since the repair material is cured under different conditions, no skin layer is formed in the repaired area, and its physical properties such as hardness and coefficient of thermal expansion are different from those of the molded article.

Problems to be Solved by the Invention This invention solves these drawbacks of the conventional repair method for foamed urethane RIM molded products, improves the adhesion between the repaired surface of the molded product and the repair material, and improves the adhesiveness of the repaired part. The purpose of this is to prevent the molded product from peeling off from the repaired surface, and to prevent the repaired part of the molded product from deforming due to heat.

Example 1 As shown in Figures 1 and 2, urethane foam
After cleaning and degreasing the repair surface 1' of defective location 2 in RIM molded product 1 with white gasoline, trichloroethane, etc., repair material 3 having a composition excluding the foaming agent from the material composition of molded product 1 is injected into defective location 2. After curing, the repaired surface is polished and painted.

In Example 1, the repair material becomes a cured product with physical properties almost similar to those of the skin layer of the molded product, and the adhesion to the molded product is considerably improved, preventing the repair material 3 from peeling off and causing thermal deformation of the repaired part. can be prevented.

Example 2 As shown in FIGS. 3 to 5, the repaired surface 11' of the defective part 12 in the foamed urethane RIM molded product 11 is heated approximately 180 degrees with a sharp-tipped heating member (not shown), for example, a soldering iron. Degrease by heat treatment at ℃~250℃. Through this heat treatment, the repaired surface 1 of the molded product 11
At 1', deposits such as fat are removed by decomposition, evaporation, and dissolution due to heat. A repair material 13 having a composition excluding the foaming agent from the material composition of the molded product 11 is applied to the defective location 12 of the molded product 11 expanded by heat treatment.
is injected and cured, and then the surface of the repair material 13 of the molded product 11 and the surface of the molded product 11 near it are polished and finished by painting.

The method for repairing the foamed urethane RIM molded product of Example 2 is that it is almost completely degreased by heat treatment, and that the repairing material is a composition that excludes the foaming agent from the material composition of the molded product, and the repair work is performed at room temperature and normal pressure. Since the reaction hardening conditions are different from RIM molding,
Together with the fact that the repair material becomes a cured product with physical properties almost similar to those of the skin layer of the molded product, the adhesion between the repair material 13 and the expanded repair surface 11'' of the molded product 11 is significantly improved, and the repair material 13 It is possible to prevent the repair material from peeling off, and also to prevent deformation of the repaired area due to expansion and contraction due to heat.It is also possible to make the repair material and its outline on the surface of the molded product less noticeable.

Example 3 As shown in FIGS. 6 to 8, the repaired surface 21' of the defective portion 22 in the foamed urethane RIM molded product 21 was heat treated to degrease and form an undercut portion 24. After a repair material 23 similar to the above is injected and cured, the repair material 23 of the molded product 21 and the surface of the molded product 21 near it are polished and finished by painting.

By forming an undercut portion and injecting the repair material 23 as in the method for repairing a foamed urethane RIM molded product in Example 3, even if the repair material 23 is peeled off from the molded product 21, the repair material 23 can still be molded. Item 21
This can prevent floating or falling off.
