<Conventional technology> In the past, there were many dedicated electrode-type air purifiers that removed dust by passing air between high-pressure electrodes. At all times, electricity was being applied between the blower fan and the electrodes, and the blower fan or electrodes were never turned on and off separately.

<Problems to be solved by the invention> In an electrode-type air purifier, it is desirable that air be passed between the electrodes at a constant amount of air. There is no problem with air passing with no voltage applied between the electrodes, but if high pressure is applied between the electrodes but no air is blown, ozone will be generated here, and as is well known, ozone is harmful to the human body. It is harmful to humans and emits a characteristic odor. However, when a single blower fan performs both air conditioning and air purification like the air conditioner of this invention, it is necessary to turn on the blower fan in order to adjust the temperature of the air conditioner.
It is necessary to turn it off, and if the fan is constantly running, it may blow out colder air than the air conditioner in the winter or hot air in the summer, causing discomfort to humans. It was.

<Function> When the operation switch 20 of the air conditioner is turned on, normal cooling/heating operation begins and the blower fan 16 rotates.Next, when the cleaner switch 21 is turned on, the air purifier is energized and the electrostatic dust collector unit 12 (hereinafter referred to as the collector) is turned on. If high pressure is applied to the dust collection unit 12, and then the temperature control function (not shown) of the air conditioner activates and the blower fan 16 stops, the dust collection unit 12
When the temperature control function is activated again and the blower fan 16 is operated, the dust collection unit 12 is energized. In this way, the blower fan 1
During the stop time 6, the power supply to the dust collecting unit 12 is always stopped, so that a large amount of ozone is no longer generated.

5 is a casing that covers the back side while maintaining space with the front panel 1, and 6 is a pre-filter for removing relatively large dust, which is detachably attached to the back side of the suction port 2. 7 is a horizontally oblong indoor heat exchanger (hereinafter referred to as a heat exchanger) located behind the prefilter 6.
Then, in the upper or lower part of the side facing the prefilter 6, preferably in a part of the upper part in view of condensation water countermeasures and air volume, a recess of about 1/2 in the vertical direction and the width direction or a cut-out thin width part 8 is formed. However, a meandering heat exchange tube 10 is arranged on the fins 9 other than the thin width portion 8.

A dust collection unit 12 is attached to the thin width part 8 via a frame-shaped insulating member 11 so as not to protrude. The dust collection unit 12 has two pieces on the left and right, and has a plate shape and has a discharge counter electrode 12a connected to a positive power source, with a plurality of square holes 12b each having a side of about 15 mm regularly opened, and one side of which is bent downstream. A combination of unit plates 12d, 12d, 12d is provided with a pole piece 12e and a needle-shaped discharge electrode 12c connected to a negative power source from the back side of the pole piece 12e is positioned toward the center of each square hole 12b (Fig. 4a). ,b,c),
A handle 13 for use in removing the dust collecting unit 12 is provided at the lower front surface, and the dust collecting unit 12 is fixed to end plates 14 at both ends of the heat exchanger 7 via insulating members 11.

In addition, when the dust collecting unit 12 is energized, a voltage of about 7 kV DC boosted by a transformer (not shown) is loaded (negative discharge) between the discharge counter electrode 12a and the discharge electrode 12c, and the dust, smoke, and bad odor in the air are removed.・Charge floating objects such as mites, and each dust collection pole piece 12e

Next, when the front door 3 is normal, the cleaner switch 21 is activated.
Determine whether the cleaner switch 21 is on. If the cleaner switch 21 is on, the dust collection unit 12
If there is no abnormality such as disconnection, the operation lamp 22.
The cleaner lamp 23 lights up and the air conditioner starts operating. Then, it is determined whether the blower fan 16 is ON or OFF, and if it is ON, the power relay for the dust collection unit is ON.
Then, the dust collection unit 12 is energized and the air purifier operates normally, and if the blower fan 16 is OFF, the power relay for the dust collection unit is OFF.
However, since the power supply to the dust collecting unit 12 is stopped, a large amount of ozone is no longer generated. In addition, when the cleaner switch 21 is OFF, the cleaner lamp 23 is turned off and the dust collection unit 12 is not energized and the air conditioner is operated only. Therefore, when an overcurrent flows, the cleaner lamp 23
continues to flash 15 times per second, and the power supply to the dust collection unit 12 is stopped and the air conditioner is operated only. Furthermore, these sequences are programmed into a microcomputer built into the air conditioner.

<Effects of the invention> Since the power supply to the dust collection unit 12 is always stopped when the blower fan 16 is stopped, a large amount of ozone is not generated and the odor peculiar to ozone is also eliminated. Also, since the air conditioner operates normally, there is no longer a problem of cold wind blowing out in the winter or hot wind blowing out in the summer.
