Conventionally, as a welding torch for automatic or semi-automatic welding, one having the structure shown in FIG. 5 has been generally used. However, with this torch, spatter that is scattered during welding adheres to and accumulates on the inner and outer circumferential surfaces of the tip of nozzle a and the outer circumferential surface of tip b, as shown in the figure, and prevents the gas from flowing out. had to be removed. In addition, conventional tips are made of copper to ensure electrical conductivity, but because this is soft, the core hole c through which the welding rod (wire) is fed out during use is damaged due to the curl of the wire, as shown in Figure 6. As shown by the dotted line, it wears vertically and becomes oval-shaped.
There was a problem in that it became difficult to position the wire during welding work, and as a result, the work had to be interrupted for replacement.

The present invention aims to provide a welding torch that prevents the adhesion of spatter on the nozzle and tip and wear of the core hole of the tip, and allows welding work to proceed efficiently. A chip that has an insertion hole to be fed out, a chip body that screws and supports this at its base and is equipped with a plurality of gas supply ports, an insulating orifice that is rotatably provided around the chip, and a cylindrical shape that surrounds the chip. In a welding torch consisting of a nozzle, the nozzle has at least its inner circumferential surface made of ceramic, and the tip is made of a combination of a metal part forming a base shaft and a ceramic part forming an outer circumferential side wall and a tip. The main point is that

FIG. 1 shows a first embodiment of the present invention, in which 1 is a cylindrical nozzle forming the outside of the tip of the torch, 2 is a welding rod (wire) 3
It is a chip that feeds out the wire and transmits electric current to it, and has an insertion hole 4 on the central axis. 5
is a cylindrical chip body that screws and supports the chip 2 at its base and also supplies gas;
A plurality of gas supply ports 6 are provided on its outer periphery. 7
is a cylindrical insulating orifice interposed between the nozzle 1 and the chip body 5, and has a plurality of injection ports 8 on its side wall for jetting gas from the chip body 5 into the nozzle 1. The rotation of the orifice 7 causes the orifice 7 to rotate, and by changing the relative position between the injection port 8 and the gas supply port 6 of the chip body 5, the amount of gas ejected can be adjusted.

Reference numeral 9 denotes a similarly cylindrical insulating cylinder, which screws and supports the nozzle 1 on its front outer peripheral wall and the chip body 5 on its rear inner peripheral wall (not shown), and also connects the nozzle 1 and the chip body 5. Insulated. Reference numeral 10 denotes a jacket tube in which a gas supply pipe, an electric cord, a welding rod, etc. are housed, and the other end is connected to a holder 11 (see FIG. 4) for operation, and is rotatably attached thereto.

The nozzle 1 in this configuration is entirely made of ceramic, and the chip 2 has a core portion 2a forming the base shaft made of a highly conductive metal such as copper, and its outer peripheral wall and tip portion made of a ceramic body 2b. The two are connected by means such as welding or adhesion.

In this embodiment, the entire nozzle 1 and the outer circumferential wall and tip of the tip 2, which are susceptible to spatter during welding, are made of ceramic. There is no spatter adhesion at all, and work can proceed efficiently. In addition, since the tip of the tip 2 is made of ceramic, it has the effect of preventing wear in the vertical direction of the insertion hole 4 due to the tendency of the wire 3 to bend, making it possible to use it for a long time 20 times longer than conventional products. .

The figure shows a nozzle shape in which the outer diameter of the tip half is reduced so that the outer diameter of the tip is smaller than the outer diameter of the base shaft, but this is shown in Fig. 5. Similar to the conventional product shown in the figure, it may be in the shape of a straight tube with the same diameter as a whole.

However, in the torch of the present invention, there is no fear of spatter welding as mentioned above, so even if the nozzle is shaped as shown, it is possible to maintain the gas flow path. This method has the advantage of improving welding efficiency since it is difficult to see the welding area in the shadows, which hinders smooth work, and it also improves welding efficiency by concentrating the direction of gas ejection (see Figure 4).

2 and 3 are examples showing further different aspects of the nozzle 1. The nozzle in FIG. 2 has the same shape as the previous example, but the nozzle in FIG. The base metal portion 1a and the cylindrical ceramic body 1b forming the inner circumferential wall and tip thereof are joined together by means such as fusion or adhesion.

As with the previous example, since spatter does not adhere to the ceramic part, inexpensive metals such as iron can be used as the metal material, and the overall thickness can be reduced to reduce weight.

In addition, the nozzle shown in FIG. 3 has a step in the outer diameter of the tip and the base, so that the outer diameter of the tip is smaller than that of the base. is formed of metal, and the inner peripheral wall layer 1d
is made of ceramic, and the two are bonded together. This example also has the same advantages as the previous example.
