Abstract

PURPOSE:To produce a gas-heated humidifier, which is quick in starting steaming and can be produced at low cost, by providing a hollow cylindrical boiler with a heat exchange coil in the hollow space, which leads to the lower part of the boiler, and by providing a gas burner under the boiler and the heat exchange coil. CONSTITUTION:In a boiler 1 which is hollow and cylindrical water is heated by a gas burner 3 to produce steam. The steam thus produced is discharged into the indoor air through a steam pipe 4. The internal pressure of the boiler 1 is about the same as the atmospheric pressure so that the boiler 1 does not need to be a pressure vessel; the boiler 1 can be produced at low cost, since a structure having about the same strength as a gas-heated hot water device for home use suffices for it. In the hollow space 1a of the boiler 1 a heat exchanger oil 7 is provided in such a manner as to be placed directly over the lower part of the boiler 1 so that quickness in starting the steaming is insured through exposure of a wide surface of the coil 7 to the combustion heat at the gas burner 3. To automate the operation, a water level detector 8 can be provided in a setup to input its outputs to a control device 10. By means of this control device 10 a feedwater value 2a in a feed pipe 2 is opened and closed automatically according to the levels detected by the water level detector 8.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION H1 The present invention relates to a gas-fired humidifier, and particularly to a gas-fired humidifier that uses gas as a heat source to supply moisture to the air in an indoor space or the like.

Conventional humidification is performed by spraying or evaporating clean water, hot water, or steam into the air. The methods include the water spray method, which applies pressure to water and sprays it from a nozzle, the ultrasonic humidification method, which applies ultrasonic vibration to water and sprays it, the vaporization method, which vaporizes water by soaking it into a nonwoven fabric, and the centrifugal force. There are centrifugal types that use water to finely grind and spray it, and steam types that heat water and spray it in the form of steam. In terms of scale, there are two types: a central system that humidifies air at the center and distributes it to each room, and a distributed system that humidifies each room individually.

In the case of central steam humidification, steam is produced in a gas-fired or oil-fired steam boiler and supplied to air conditioners, etc. However, the use of a steam boiler requires a qualified boiler operator, and the central system has the problem of increased thinning costs.

In the case of the dispersion method, a heating method is used in which electricity is used as a heat source and a resistance wire heater is used, or an electric current is passed through the water using an electrode.

However, methods that use electricity as a heat source not only increase the power load on the building and cause the capacity of the transformer to be upgraded, but also have the unavoidable drawback that the rise of steam generation is delayed due to the heat capacity of the electric heater itself. Furthermore, since electricity is used as heat, the efficiency is low and it is not necessarily desirable from the standpoint of resource conservation.

Main Sin In FIG. 1, water in a hollow cylindrical pot 1 is heated by a gas burner 3 to generate water vapor. The generated water vapor is released into the indoor air either directly or preferably via the steam pipe 4, thus performing the function of a decentralized humidifier. Further, the internal pressure of the boiler 1 is about the same as atmospheric pressure, so there is no need for it to be a high-pressure vessel, and of course there is no need for a person qualified to handle the boiler.

That is, it is sufficient to make the pot 1 a structure with a strength comparable to that of a domestic gas-fired water heater, so that it can be manufactured at low cost. Moreover, since it is used at a pressure comparable to atmospheric pressure, there is no requirement by law for a specially qualified administrator, and operating costs can be kept low.

Furthermore, since the heat exchange coil 7 that communicates with the lower part of the pot 1 is installed in the hollow part 1a of the pot 1, a large surface of the coil 7 is exposed to the combustion heat of the gas eighty 3, so that the heat exchange coil 7 is exposed to the combustion heat of the gas eighty 3. It is possible to evaporate the water in the coil 7 in a short amount of time and ensure a quick rise in steam generation.

Figure 1 shows a schematic sectional view of an embodiment of the present invention, and Figure 2
The figure shows a schematic perspective view thereof. If the pot 1 is made of a metal material such as steel plate or stainless steel, low-cost mass production is possible. Water is poured into the pot 1 through the water supply pipe 2, and the gas burner 3 is ignited to heat it. Steam is generated from the upper part of the pot 1, and the water is passed through the steam pipe 4 to the target area, such as an air conditioner, a duct, or indoors. Supply to etc.

In order to prevent the water level in the pot l from rising above a predetermined level, an overflow pipe 5 is attached to a portion of the pot l at an appropriate height. Further, a drain pipe 6 is provided at the bottom of the pot 1 to prevent scale deposited from the water from adhering to the inner wall surface and bottom surface of the pot 1 and hindering heat conduction.

When the humidifier is an automatic type, a suitable electrode or other water level detector 8 is provided in the pot 1, and its output is applied to the control device 10. Information such as humidity and temperature may be added to the control device 10. The Mal device 10 can automatically open and close the water supply valve 2a of the water supply pipe 2 according to the detection level of the water level detector 8. A ball tap or the like having a water level sensing portion and electrical contacts for control may be used instead of the control device 10.

When the gas burner burns for a long time or when the burn is repeated frequently, the water surface inside the pot moves rapidly, making it difficult to check the appropriate water level. Measures such as plates (Figures 4 and 5) will be required. In the embodiment shown in FIG. 3, the bottom of the pot 1 is connected to a buffer tank 14 through a communication pipe 13. In order to prevent the rapid movement of the water surface in the pot l from directly propagating to the buffer tank 14, a resistance section 13a consisting of an orifice, a valve, etc. is provided in the communication pipe 13.

4 and 5 show a schematic plan view and a schematic sectional view of an embodiment in which stacked plates 15 are provided in two stages near the highest water level of the pot 1. The stacked plates 15 are constructed of fan-shaped members spaced apart from each other or have holes 16 formed therein so as to absorb the vertical motion energy of the water surface but do not impede the passage of water vapor.
