Abstract

PURPOSE:To exactly and stably identify a number of an information sheet book by providing an information sheet book having a display area of a book discriminating code, a lens for forming an image of the identifying code, and a photodetector. CONSTITUTION:Identifying code display areas 10-1 to 10-4 allow '1' and '0' to correspond to a bright color and a dark color, respectively, and the area 10-1 and the area 10-4 are used as the uppermost bit and the lowest bit, respectively, and its identifying code (attribute) such as a number of an information sheet book 2, etc. is displayed. Photodetectors 13-1 to 13-4 are provided on points in which images of the areas 10-1 to 10-4 which are made incident through a reflecting mirror 11 and a convex lens 12 are formed. In such a way, for instance, even of the position accuracy of the photodetector, etc. is inferior a little, as long as the quantum of light which is made incident on the photodetector corresponds to light and darkness of the identifying code display area, the information sheet book number can be detached exactly and stably.

[Prior Art] Regarding the identification of information sheetbooks that are placed replaceably on tablets or keyboards, for example, the position of the connecting ring that binds the information sheets is changed for each book, and its presence or absence is detected using a microswitch or the like. What I set to detect (
Japanese Unexamined Patent Publication No. 58-207138), one in which a connecting ring is provided with a magnetic one and one without magnetism, and the combination of magnetic presence or absence is changed for each book so that it can be read with a reed switch etc. (Japanese Unexamined Patent Publication No. 58-207139). ), a memory in which identification information (attributes) is written is built into the binder, and the information is read out through connectors placed on the binder and the input panel to identify the book (Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 1973- 1
Various methods have been proposed, such as 48431).

[Problems to be Solved by the Invention] However, the conventional method requires a certain level of positional accuracy for mounting detection elements such as microswitches and reed switches, and also has relatively poor operational stability and durability due to the presence of moving parts. It took a lot of effort to design, assemble, adjust, etc., and it took a lot of time for maintenance.

[Means for Solving the Problems] Therefore, in the present invention, a display area for displaying a book identification code is set on the binder or cover of an information sheet book, a lens is placed opposite to the display area, and A light receiving element is arranged at a position where an image of the display area is formed by the lens.

[Operation] With this configuration, the image of each display area in the two bright and dark states assigned corresponding to the book number passes through the lens and forms an image on the light-receiving surface of each light-receiving element. The output changes depending on the book number. This output is supplied to a host computer or the like as is or via a buffer.

Reference numeral 11 denotes a reflecting mirror, which displays the identification code display areas 10-1 to 10.
-4 is located at a position rotated 45 degrees clockwise in a plane from the position facing directly. Note that the identification code display area 10
-1 to 10-4 are provided on the end surface 8 of the binder base 8
A and the inner wall surface 15 of the bank-like part on the front side of the housing are appropriately spaced apart from each other, and external light incident through this gap is reflected in the display area 10-1.
~10-4 is illuminated. Further, a window (not shown) of the same size as the end surface 8A is provided on the wall surface 15, and an identification code display area 10-1 is provided from the reflecting mirror 11 side.
~10-4 is now visible. Note that the illumination of the identification code display areas 10-1 to 10-4 may be provided by a light source such as a lamp provided for that purpose. A convex lens 12 is arranged to directly face the identification code display areas 10-1 to 10-4 using the reflecting mirror 11 as a medium.

Reference numerals 13-1 to 13-4 denote phototransistors serving as light-receiving elements, and the incident surface is located at the point where the images of the identification code display areas 10-1 to 10-4, which are incident through a reflecting mirror 11 and a convex lens 12, are formed. The light receiving elements 13-1 to 13-4 correspond to the respective identification code display areas 10-1 to 10-4. These relationships are shown in FIG.

With the above configuration, the amount of light incident on each phototransistor 13-1 to 13-4 corresponds to the brightness of each identification code display area 10-1 to 10-4. Therefore, when the output level of the phototransistors 13-] to 13-4 matches the logic level of the circuit, such as TTL level, it is left as is, and when it does not match, the output is passed through necessary circuits such as buffers. By supplying the data to a host computer (not shown), the host computer can receive the current number of the information sheet book 2 as 4-pin parallel data.

[Effect of the invention] As described above, in the two inventions, the information sheet book number, etc.
The identification code (attribute) is expressed by the brightness and darkness of a predetermined area, and the image of the area is formed on a light receiving element to read its brightness. Therefore, even if the positional accuracy of the light-receiving element is slightly poor, or the performance of the lens is slightly inferior, and the image is out of focus, the amount of light incident on the light-receiving element will be limited to the identification code display area. As long as it corresponds to the brightness and darkness of the information sheet, the number of the information sheet book can be accurately and stably detected, designed and manufactured.

Additionally, since there are no mechanically moving parts, it is highly durable and requires no maintenance.
