、前記プラテンガラスを介した原稿の画像形成面
からの反射光をイメージセンサに結像させる結像
光学系と、この結像光学系の有効視野内のみの画
像形成面に照明光が照射されるように前記プラテ
ンガラスの光源側の面に形成されたマスクとを備
え、前記光源は所定の大きさの出射窓から照明光
を出射し、該出射窓を除く他の部分の内壁には反
射膜が形成されているアパーチヤ形光源で構成さ
れた画像読取り装置において、 前記マスクの光源画の面を所定反射率以上の反
