方にこの補助回転翼の径の1/2あげた位置を上限

下では、衣類の回転半径が小さいためにすぐに洗
濯槽6に当つて止まる。傾斜角度θが大きくなる
と共に衣類の回転翼半径が大きくなり、衣類の動
きはなめらかになるが、傾斜角度θが小さい時は
衣類が浮力により上方に浮いているという状態を
撹拌する時と比べて、撹拌翼13が衣類を持ち上
げるような働きを行なうため、モータの負荷抵抗
が増大し、結果として消費電力が増大する傾向が
みられる。又、傾斜角θが70゜以上になると衣類
の動きがなめらかすぎて複雑な動きをせず洗浄結
果が低下する。従つてモータ入力と洗浄結果との
相関をみると傾斜角度θは40゜〜70゜に設定するの
がよい。

翼13の中心軸線aと補助回転翼18の中心軸線
bとが前記回転翼18の中心頂部近傍で交わるよ
うな位置より下に設けると、衣類19は補助回転
翼を覆つてしまい回転しなくなる。この結果、補
助回転翼18の取付位置は撹拌翼13の中心軸線
aと補助回転翼18の中心軸線bとが前記補助回
転翼18の中心頂部近傍で交わるような位置を下
限として、この下限から上方に補助回転翼18の
径の1/2離れた位置を上限とした範囲外に補助回
転翼18を設けた場合には衣類に与えるスムーズ
な回転の効果がない。前記範囲内に補助回転翼を
設けると、撹拌翼13により回転駆動された衣類
