Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent dust from getting into the inside of an optical disk cartridge housing an optical disk by a simple and inexpensive method by providing dust preventing members to the gap of the open section for sliding of the cartridge. CONSTITUTION:A tray 11 is provided with a circular recessed section 11a for housing an optical disk D and inserted into an outer case 12 from the inserting port 12a of the case 12, and belt-like dust preventive members 13 are stuck to the outer peripheral surface of the end section 11b of the tray 11 which is positioned to the inserting port 12a when the tray 11 is housed in the case 12. Therefore, dust cannot get into the outer case 12 when the tray 11 is housed in the case 12, since the dust preventing members 13 closes the gap between the end section 11b and inserting port 12a.

Description

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION [Field of Industrial Application] The present invention relates to an optical disk cartridge that houses a disk-shaped optical recording medium.

[Prior Art] Conventionally, a cartridge for storing an optical disc has an opening at the center of the disc that engages with a turntable in a recording/reproducing device and at a storage area of the disc that faces an optical head. When the cartridge is taken out, an opening provided in the cartridge 2 is closed by a shutter 1 as shown in FIG. Further, as shown in FIG. 7, the tray 3 on which the disc is placed is housed inside the outer case 4 through the insertion opening and is in a closed state.
