In recent years, in automobile manufacturing plants, automation of various operations such as processing and assembly of vehicles at each processing station, and transportation of vehicles between processing stations has been progressing rapidly. By the way, in the above-mentioned automobile manufacturing factory, many types of vehicles are flown on the production line in a leveled state, so in order to advance the above-mentioned automation, it is necessary to transfer the information from the production instruction device to the various equipment installed at each processing station. On the other hand, it becomes necessary to transmit vehicle data signals. For this reason, conventionally, each piece of equipment installed in a processing salon outputs a NEXT data request signal to the production instruction device when preparations for receiving the next vehicle to be processed are completed. Then, the production instruction device transmits a vehicle data signal regarding the next vehicle that the facility will accept to the facility that outputs the signal. In this way, when a vehicle data signal related to the next vehicle to be transported is input to the equipment that has completed preparations for receiving the vehicle, this equipment accepts the transported vehicle and receives the transmitted vehicle data signal. Based on this, we will process this vehicle. When the processing for this vehicle is completed, this equipment again transmits a NEXT data request signal to the production instruction device to request a vehicle data signal for the next vehicle to be transported. Thereafter, by repeating the following operations, various types of vehicles that are sequentially transported are processed in accordance with the vehicle. Incidentally, the relationship between the NEXT data request signal (a) and the vehicle data signal (b) is shown in a time chart as shown in FIG.

(Problem to be Solved by the Invention) As described above, when the equipment installed at the processing station becomes ready to receive the next vehicle, it outputs the NEXT data request signal (a) to the production instruction device, and When using a method of receiving vehicle data signals (b) from the production instruction device each time, if the equipment is forced to an emergency stop for some reason and then restarted, the equipment will Since it does not have a data retention function, it outputs the NEXT data request signal (a) again, receives the vehicle data signal (b) from the production instruction device again, and then processes the vehicle again based on this data. However, at this time, depending on the timing of re-outputting the NEXT data request signal (a), the vehicle data signal (b) that is sent again from the production instruction device may
There is a lag in synchronization with the vehicle that the equipment is currently processing based on the above data, and the above vehicle data signal (b)
However, the vehicle data signal (
(b)). In this case, due to leveling reasons, if multiple vehicles of the same model were being transported to the above facility in a row, the synchronization would have been lost by one. Vehicle data signal (b)
However, the data corresponds to the same model as the vehicle that is currently being processed, and it may not be possible to detect that the synchronization has gone out at this point. That is, when the equipment is restarted, the worker must check the vehicle that the equipment is currently processing and the contents of the vehicle data signal (b) that is retransmitted from the production instruction device and displayed on the equipment display. After confirming whether they match, the driver leaves the location, but under the above-mentioned circumstances, the vehicle and the data match, so it is impossible to detect that the synchronization is out of order.

After this, the out-of-synchronization will be detected for the first time when the vehicle received by the facility and the content of the vehicle data signal (b) sent from the production instruction device no longer match. At this point, it becomes necessary to stop the equipment again and correct the synchronization difference, which poses a problem in that the operating rate of the equipment is significantly reduced.

When the data-receiving device becomes ready to accept the sequentially transported workpieces, it transmits a NEXT data request signal to the data-transmitting device, thereby indicating that the data transmitted from the transmitting device will be accepted. When a predetermined operation is performed on the workpiece based on the data signal for the workpiece, a step synchronization signal whose level is inverted every time the data signal is transmitted is transmitted from the data transmission side device. By transmitting in synchronization with the above data signal,
The device on the data receiving side is capable of determining whether or not the data signal is incrementing each time the data signal is received.

As described above, when transmitting a data signal, a step synchronization signal is sent in synchronization with this, and the data receiving device determines whether or not the data signal is incrementing each time it receives the data signal. This makes it possible to identify whether or not the workpieces that are sequentially conveyed to the data receiving device are synchronized with the data signals that are transmitted accordingly.

In this way, the step synchronization signal (c), which is synchronized with the vehicle data signal (b) and whose level is inverted every time the vehicle data signal (b) is output, is directed to the equipment together with the vehicle data signal (b). If the equipment is brought to an emergency stop for some reason and then restarted, the vehicle data signal received again (b) and the vehicle to be processed after restarting will be displayed. It can be easily determined whether synchronization is established with the vehicle data signal (b) by checking the level of the step synchronization signal (c) that is transmitted in synchronization with the vehicle data signal (b). That is,
Before an emergency stop, if the step synchronization signal input in synchronization with the vehicle data signal (b) input to the equipment is, for example, at a high level, after the restart, it will be input again in synchronization with the vehicle data signal input to the equipment. If the step synchronization signal is at a high level, this vehicle data signal (b) is the same as the vehicle data signal (b) before the restart, and if the step synchronization signal (c) is at a low level. , it can be easily determined that this vehicle data signal (b) is a vehicle data signal (b) that is one step ahead of the vehicle data signal (b) before the restart. Therefore, even if the equipment makes an emergency stop and then restarts in a situation where exactly the same vehicle data signal (b) is transmitted several times in a row, the equipment will be re-inputted after restarting. Since it is easy to identify the point in time of the input vehicle data signal (b), it is possible to accurately synchronize the re-input vehicle data signal (b) with the vehicle being accepted by the equipment after restarting. It is easy to determine whether the

As described above, if the data transmission method according to the present invention is used to transmit the vehicle data signal and the step synchronization signal from the production instruction device to the equipment in a synchronized state, the equipment side can: By determining the level of the step synchronization signal, the step of the vehicle data signal can be identified. Therefore, when restarting the equipment after an emergency stop, it is easy to identify whether the vehicle data signal re-entered into the equipment is accurately synchronized with the vehicles the equipment is receiving after restarting. This makes it possible to prevent synchronization between the vehicle data signal and the vehicle after restarting the equipment.
