Abstract

PURPOSE:To have function for protecting a double-throw thyristor at the time of non-using by composing a control means for turning a switch ON at the time point when coins of the set amount are inserted, and turning the switch OFF at the time point when the whole process is completed. CONSTITUTION:When coins are inserted, then the input of signal to a control means 21 from a coin SW22 is provided, and when the coins come to a set amount, then the output of the display is directed to a LED display 23, and by electrifying the exciting coil 24 of a relay 19, a contact 20 is closed, and a voltage is applied to bidirectional thyristors 13 to 15. After that, by operating a start SW25, a process is started, and from the control means 21, to the double- throw thyristors 13-15, signal is properly fed according to the order of the process, and the operation of the process is performed. After the whole process is completed and after the whole load working is completed, then electrification to the exciting coil 24 of the relay 19 is also completed, and the contact 20 is opened, and after that, a waiting state is kept in a state that the contact 20 is opened, till following coins are inserted into the slot.

Problems to be Solved by the Invention However, with such a configuration, there is no switch etc. in the closed circuit consisting of the power source 1, bidirectional thyristors 2 to 4, and loads 6 to 7, so both are connected even when not in operation. Power remains applied to the tropic thyristor. Unlike home-use washing machines, coin-operated washing machines are always plugged into a power outlet, which poses problems such as bidirectional thyristors deteriorating, especially when humidity is high.

Means for Solving the Problems In order to achieve the above objects, the coin-operated washing machine of the present invention is provided with a switch in a closed circuit consisting of a power source, a load, and a bidirectional thyristor for driving the load, and in which a coin is connected to the switch. The configuration includes a control means that closes the coin when a set amount has been deposited and opens the coin when all steps are completed.

Function: The coin-operated washing machine of the present invention has the above-mentioned configuration, since the switch is closed and energized only from the time when the user inserts a coin and starts washing until the entire process is completed. In this case, no voltage is applied to the bidirectional thyristor either.

To explain the operation of this configuration, first, before a coin is inserted, DC power is always supplied to the control means 21, so an indication that the LED display 23 is on standby can be displayed. Contact 2 of relay 19
o is in an open state, and no voltage is applied to the bidirectional thyristors 13 to 16. When the user inserts a coin, a signal is input from the coin 5W22 to the control means 21,
When the set amount is reached, a display to that effect is output to the LED display 23, and the contact 20 is closed by energizing the excitation coil 24 of the relay 19, and voltage is applied to the bidirectional thyristors 13 to 16 for the first time. Ru.

Next, the process starts when the user operates the start 5W25, and the control means 21 sends timely signals to the bidirectional thyristors 13 to 16 in accordance with the process order, thereby controlling the water supply valve 16. The drain valve 17° motor 18 operates in a timely manner to operate the process. After all the processes are completed and all the loads have finished operating, the relay 19's excitation coil/

Effects of the Invention As described above, the present invention closes the switch and energizes the bidirectional thyristor only when it is actually used, from the time a coin is inserted until the end of the process, and does not energize it during the rest of the waiting period. By keeping the bidirectional thyristor open for a short time when energized, it is possible to prevent its deterioration and the resulting decrease in reliability. Furthermore, since the relay contacts are all opened and closed when the bidirectional thyristor is OFF, arcing does not occur at the relay contacts, and problems caused by arcing can be prevented.
