に延出されてチヤツク本体1と一体をなし、外筒
4bは、内筒4aの外周囲に添接するように嵌合
配置されたもので、その基端にフランジ5を有し
てチヤツク本体1のチヤツク位置決め用フランジ
部3にボルト6により着脱自在に取着されてい
る。また上記内筒4aは掴持すべき工具のストレ
ートシヤンク部(図示せず)が嵌挿されるストレ
ート状の内周面7を有し、そしてこの内筒4aに
はそれぞれ軸線方向に延びる複数のスリツト8…
が周方向に等間隔で配設されており、各スリツト

a1,4a2間に縦切されて該内筒4aの内外に半径
方向に透通するものである。更に上記外筒4bは
その先端部に向かつて先細テーパ状に形成された
外周面9を備えている。10はチヤツク筒4の外
筒4bに外嵌される締付用回転筒で、外筒4bの
テーパ状外周面9に対応するよう先細テーパ状に
形成された内周面11を有し、この回転筒10と
チヤツク筒4の外筒4bとの間に、外筒4bの外
周面9に対し螺旋状に公転する多数のニードルロ
ーラ12…が介装されている。これらのニードル
ローラ12…は、リテーナ13に保持されている
と共に、外筒4bのテーパ状外周面9に設定され
る母線に対し各ローラ12軸心が適当に傾斜する
ように配設されており、しかしてチヤツク筒4に
対して自転しつつ螺旋方向に公転して乗り上げ動
作をすることによりチヤツク筒4を弾性変形させ
て収縮させ、工具を掴持するようになつている。

クに比べ内筒のねじり剛性が高くなつて強度の向
上を図ることができる。しかも上記内筒のスリツ
トを有する領域においては、締付用回転筒を締付
けた際、該内筒の内部に異常な変形を生じること
なくスリツトの幅の縮小によつて無理なく縮径可
能であるから、該内筒に挿入された工具に対して
充分な把持力を作用させることができる。
