された静電潜像を２色以上の異なるトナーにより
顕像化する現像手段と、顕像化されたトナー像を
同一の極性に揃える転写前帯電手段及び顕像化さ
れたトナー像を記録シート上に転写する転写手段
とを具備する画像形成装置において、上記潜像形
成手段への画像信号を検知する検知手段と、検知
された画像信号から各色の比率を算出する算出手
段と、算出された各色の比率に応じて上記転写前
帯電手段及び又は転写手段への印加電圧を設定す
る比較処理手段と、比較処理手段からの信号を受
けて上記転写前帯電手段に制御電圧を印加する第
１の制御手段と、上記比較処理手段からの信号を
受けて上記転写手段に制御電圧を印加する第２の
制御手段と、上記比較処理手段と第１、第２の制
御手段との間に配設されて第１の制御手段と第２
の制御手段との切換を司どる切換手段とを具備し
