(Prior art) Conventionally, in order to lock the above-mentioned outer cover to the saddle base, a locking pawl was formed by punching out the peripheral wall of the saddle base, which is made by pressing a metal material into a predetermined shape, or a separate body was formed. The formed locking claws have been fixed to the inner surface of the peripheral wall portion by means such as welding. That is, the outer cover is locked by plastically deforming the locking piece and biting into the folded portion of the outer cover that is folded back inward of the saddle base.
However, when plastically deforming the locking piece to lock the outer sheath, it is difficult to judge how much deformation should be done, and if too much force is applied, there is a risk that the locking pawl will break at the base end. Moreover, the locking pawl must be provided in a separate process after the saddle base is molded, resulting in a problem of high manufacturing costs.

In addition, in a saddle base made of a synthetic resin material, a locking protrusion that protrudes inward is provided on the inner surface of the peripheral wall of the saddle base, and this protrusion is inserted into a locking hole formed in a folded part of the outer cover. Locking the body has also been done, but with this configuration the locking effect of the outer cover is insufficient, and in order to obtain a secure locking state, supplementary locking with staples or rivets is required. need to wear it. When these supplementary measures are employed, there are problems in that the manufacturing cost is rather high and it becomes extremely difficult to replace the outer cover for repair.

(Purpose of the invention) The present invention was made to solve the above-mentioned problems, and has a simple structure that allows the outer cover to be easily and reliably locked without using special tools. The present invention provides a saddle for a bicycle, etc., in which the outer cover can be easily attached and detached from the saddle base for replacement and repair, and can be manufactured at low cost.

(Example) In Fig. 1, numeral 1 is a saddle base made of a synthetic resin material having elasticity such as nylon resin, and includes a seat part 2 having a predetermined shape such as a chestnut shape, and a seat part 2 extending downward from the periphery of the seat part 2. The projecting peripheral wall portion 3 and a plurality of locking pieces 4 disposed at predetermined positions inside the peripheral wall portion 3 are integrally molded by means such as injection molding. The lower surface of the saddle base 1 is configured so that a boat line, a spring (not shown), etc. can be attached, and a die-cut hole 5 for forming the locking piece 4 is formed in the peripheral wall portion 3. .

A cushion material 6 made of foamed urethane or the like is placed or adhered on the seat surface 2 of the saddle base 1, and the outer peripheral surface of the saddle base 1 is covered with an outer cover 7 made of vinyl chloride resin or the like. ing. A folded part 8 is formed on the peripheral edge of the outer cover 7 and is folded back toward the inner surface, and this folded part 8 is attached between the inner surface of the peripheral wall 3 of the saddle base 1 and the locking piece 4 By this, the outer cover 7 is configured to be locked.

That is, as shown in FIG. 2, the locking piece 4 includes a base 9 that projects from the back surface of the seat surface 2 of the saddle base 1 and faces the inner surface of the peripheral wall 3 at a predetermined distance, and A locking hole 11 is formed in the folded portion 8 of the outer cover 7 at a position corresponding to the projection 10. The protrusion 10 is inserted into the stop hole 11, and the folded portion 8
The outer cover 7 is configured to be locked to the saddle base 1 by having its upper end portion held between the base 9 of the locking piece 4 and the peripheral wall 3 of the saddle base 1.

As the folded portion 8 of the outer cover 7 is held between the base 9 of the locking piece 4 and the circumferential wall 3 of the saddle base 1, the protrusion 10 is engaged while its left and right movement is prevented. Since it passes through the stop hole 11,
The folded portion 8 can be prevented from moving laterally and the protrusion 10 can be prevented from falling off from the locking hole 11, and the outer cover 7 can be securely locked to the saddle base 1.
Therefore, as in the prior art, when a locking protrusion protruding inward from the inner surface of the peripheral wall 3 of the saddle base 1 is simply inserted through the folded part 8 of the outer cover 7, the folded If the portion 8 moves laterally and separates from the locking protrusion, or if the folded portion 8 is simply pressed against the inner surface of the peripheral wall portion 3 with a locking claw or the like, the pressing force decreases and the folding occurs. It is possible to prevent the occurrence of a situation where the portion 8 comes out of the clamped state.

In addition, since the saddle base 1 is made of a synthetic resin material having a predetermined elasticity, the peripheral wall portion 3 and the locking pieces 4 can be easily elastically deformed, and when they are expanded, the outer cover The folded portion 8 of the body 7 can be easily attached and removed, and if the outer cover 7 is damaged, it can be easily replaced or repaired.
Further, in the illustrated example, the protrusion 10 is tapered toward the tip to facilitate molding, and with this structure, the protrusion 10 can be easily inserted into the locking piece 11. Further, by forming the lower surface of the protrusion 10 into a tapered shape and press-fitting the folded portion 8 along this, the locking piece 4
It may also be configured such that the folded part 8 can be automatically attached by elastically deforming the folded part 8.

In this embodiment, a sawtooth protrusion 12 is formed on the side surface of the base 9 of the locking piece 4, and the gap between the base 9 and the peripheral wall 3 is made larger than the thickness of the folded part 8 of the outer cover 7. By setting the value to a small value,
The sawtooth protrusion 12 is crimped onto the folded portion 8 to more reliably lock the outer cover 7 to the saddle base 1.
It is not necessarily necessary to have a structure in which the sawtooth protrusions 12 are pressed against each other, and the structure may be such that the sawtooth protrusions 12 are omitted.

In the above embodiment, in order to reliably maintain the locked state by the protrusion 10, the protrusion 10
The tip of the protrusion 10 is made to protrude into the die-cutting hole 5 and the protrusion 10 is inclined upward, but the length of the protrusion 10 can be changed as appropriate as long as the tip does not protrude from the surface of the saddle base 1. In addition, the protrusion 10 may protrude horizontally. Furthermore, the cross-sectional shape of this protrusion 10 can be formed into various shapes such as circular and square. Also,
In the above embodiment, an example in which the outer cover 7 is made of vinyl chloride has been described, but the material of the outer cover 7 is not limited to this, and it goes without saying that various conventionally known materials can be used.

Further, as shown in FIG. 3, a hook portion 13 is continuously provided at the lower end of the base portion 9 of the locking piece 4a, and a stepped portion 14 corresponding to the hook portion 13 is formed on the folded portion 8 of the outer cover 7. However, this hook part 13 and step part 1
4 may be configured so that the locked state of the outer cover 7 can be held more reliably.
Further, the saddle according to the present invention can be applied to bicycles or motorcycles of various standards such as light vehicles, minicycles, sports vehicles, and children's vehicles.

(Effects of the invention) As explained above, according to the invention, when the locking piece integrally formed on the saddle base prevents the left and right movement of the folded portion of the outer cover, the protrusion of the locking piece The outer cover is inserted into the locking hole in the folded part to lock the outer cover to the saddle base, so even if a load is applied to the outer cover in any direction, up, down, left or right, the protrusion will be locked. A stable locking state can be obtained by effectively preventing separation from the hole. Moreover, since the above-mentioned locking pieces are integrally molded from a synthetic resin material during molding of the saddle base, productivity of the saddle base is significantly improved and manufacturing costs can be kept low. By elastically deforming the retaining piece, the folded portion can be easily attached and detached, the outer cover can be easily assembled, and if the outer cover is damaged, it can be easily replaced or repaired. The advantage is that it can be done.
