Abstract

PURPOSE: To tabulate a various kinds of input information at the time of inputting an image and to display them on a display by providing a main memory part as a statistical information storage means to store the various kinds of input information, and a processor part having a statistical information processing means.

CONSTITUTION: The processor part 3a of a work station processor 3 sets input time at 0 at the time of starting up a scanner 4, and also, counts by 1 as the number of times of scanning, and stores those data in a main memory part 3c. Next, the part 3 transfers the image data of a picture image inputted by the scanner 4 to an image memory part 3b sequentially, and displays it on a display 5, and calculates the size of an image file, then, stores it in the part 3c. When input is completed, the completion time of the start-up of the scanner 4 is read out, and also, scanning time is calculated on relation with the input time, and is stored in the part 3c, and after the scanning is completed, the copy of statistical information stored in the part 3c is stored in an external memory device 6. In such a way, required data can be displayed on the display 5.
