Abstract

PURPOSE:To keep air in a closed vessel clean by interlocking an arm, which is close to a disk face and is turned in parallel with it, with an opening/closing plate of an air filter inflow port and forming a flow passage with a flow passage limiting plate similar to the arm. る空気流によって磁気ディスク1上を浮上し、密封容器
内で情報の記録・再生を行っている。そのため密封容器
内に塵埃があると磁気ディスク1と浮上している磁気ヘ
ッド2との間隙に塵埃が入り込み磁気ディスクlや磁気
ヘッド2に損傷を生ずることがあり、磁気ディスク装置
の致命傷となるクラッシュ障害を起こすこともある。こ
のクラッシュ障害を避けるために、密封容器内にエアフ
ィルタ5を設け、磁気ディスクlの回転によって発生す
る空気流を利用して、空気流がエアフィルタ5を通過す
るのに伴って密封容器内の塵埃を捕捉し、密封容器内の
清浄度を保っている。

め、エアフィルタを通過する空気流量が少ないと十分に
塵埃を捕捉しきれず、密封容器内を塵埃が循環したり、
密封容器内の清浄度を保つのに長時間を要するという欠
点があった。また、磁気ディスク装置が停止時にはエア
フィルタによって捕捉された塵埃が密封容器内に漏れ出
して散乱させ、磁気ディスクや磁気へ・ソドが損傷し、
磁気ディスク装置の信頼性を低下させるという欠点があ
った。

器内のエアを清浄にするエアフィルタを有する磁気ディ
スク装置において、前記エアフィルタの流入口の前部に
磁気ディスクのディスク面に近接して平行に対向して設
けな流路制限板と、前記磁気ディスクのディスク面に近
接して平行に回転するアームと、前記アームに連動して
回転する前記流入口の開閉を行う開閉板と、前記流入口
の外側近傍に固着して前記アームを押圧し前記開閉板で
前記流入口を閉鎖する板ばねとを備え、且つ、前記流路
制限板と前記開閉板との接触面並びに前記開閉板と前記
流入口との接触面にそれぞれ弾性材を有することを特徴
とする。

、磁気ディスクlが回転すると、同時に、開閉板7によ
って閉じていたエアフィルタ5の流入口が開口し、密封
容器内の空気流がエアフィルタ5を通過する。また、密
封容器内の塵埃の循環を減少し、エアフィルタ5への流
量を多くするため、エアフィルタ5の流入口の前部に第
3図に示すように磁気ディスクlのディスク面に近接し
て平行に対向する流路制限板6を設けである。流路制限
板6もアーム8と同様に第3図(h)A−A断面図に示
すような空気流の抵抗を受けやすいように丸みのある溝
を設けである。この流路制限板6は磁気ディスク1と浮
上している磁気ヘッド2との間隙に塵埃が入り込むのを
防ぐと共に、密封容器内の空気流をエアフィルタ5の流
入口へ強制的に誘導している。更に、流路制限板6の開
閉板7との接触面にはストッパゴム10bが取り付けら
れており、開閉板7の回転ストッパとして、また、流路
制限板6と開閉板7との接触面の間隙からの空気流の漏
れを防止している。なお、このストッパゴムlObは開
閉板7に取り付けられてもよい。
