(Prior Art) Futons used in hotels, inns, etc. need to be washed regularly, and a futon drying device is used to dry the futons that are placed in a dehydrator after washing. Such commercial futon drying equipment is a hot air circulation type that blows hot air from the outside into the furnace body that can store a trolley with futons hung on it, and sucks and exhausts the atmosphere inside the furnace from the ceiling. is normal. However, in order to avoid thermal deterioration of the futon cover, the atmospheric temperature inside the furnace is kept at a low temperature of 90 to 100 degrees Celsius at most, and since forced convection drying is performed using only hot air, drying relies exclusively on moisture evaporation from the surface. The drawback was that it took a long time. Particularly in the areas that come into contact with the futon hooks and the tips of the futon that hang down, the cotton becomes denser due to the weight of the futon and has a high moisture content, so it takes about 3 hours to dry in the case of a cotton futon for adults. It was necessary.

In the figure, 1 is a furnace body, and 2 is a drying chamber 3 inside the furnace body 1.
This is a ceiling partition wall that partitions the hot air circulation chamber 4 into a hot air circulation chamber 4 and a hot air circulation chamber 4. A double door 5 is provided on one side of the drying room 3, and inside the drying room 3, a trolley 7 equipped with a plurality of hooks 6 at the upper end that supports a plurality of futons 30 folded in half is mounted on a rail. It is arranged so that you can enter and exit along 8. As shown in Figure 2,
A hot air circulation chamber 9 is also formed on the side of the drying chamber 3 and communicates with the hot air circulation chamber 4 described above, and a circulation fan 10 made of a heat-resistant alloy and driven intermittently is installed inside the chamber to direct the hot air circulation path. is forming. 11 is a hot air suction port formed in the ceiling partition wall 2. As shown in an enlarged view in FIG. 3, the hot air suction port 11 is equipped with a slide damper 11a, and the opening degree can be adjusted by sliding the slide damper 11a. Ceiling partition wall 2 near this hot air suction port 11
A large number of infrared radiant heaters 12 are installed facing the drying chamber 3. These infrared radiant heaters 12 are ceramic plates with electric resistance heating wires embedded inside them, and the amount of heat generated is determined by the weight of the futon per batch. Such an infrared radiant heater 12 is clean and does not stain the bedding, has no fear of being attacked by water vapor emitted from the bedding, and has the advantage of having a large heat capacity and not being easily cooled down.

The lower end of the hot air circulation chamber 9 is connected to a duct 13 extending to the bottom of the drying chamber 3, and the upper surface of the duct 13 has an elongated slit-shaped hot air outlet facing below the hanging futon 30. 14 is formed. An infrared radiation heater 15 similar to that described above is also provided near the hot air outlet 14. As clearly shown in FIG. 1, the hot air outlet 14 is arranged so as to face the space of the futon that is supported by the hanger 6 of the trolley 7 and hangs down.
It is preferable to blow hot air into the inside of the futon 30, and the infrared radiant heater 15 is preferably placed close to the tip 31 of the hanging futon 30 to promote drying of the tip 31 where the moisture content is high. preferable. Furthermore, it is preferable that the hot air blown upward from the hot air outlet 14 also collide with the sides of the futon 30.

(Function) The futon drying device configured as described above heats the atmosphere inside the furnace to about 100°C in advance by energizing the infrared radiant heaters 12, 15, etc. and causing circulation by the circulation fan 10, and then A plurality of futons that have been washed and dehydrated and have a water content of about 150% are supported in a folded state on the hanger 6 of the trolley 7 as shown in the figure, and are inserted into the drying chamber 3 together with the trolley 7. Inside the drying chamber 3 is an infrared radiant heater 12,1.
Since it is heated by 5 radiant heat and has a hot air circulation structure, the futon efficiently absorbs heat from its surface layer and evaporates moisture, and the impinging jets on the surface of the futon rapidly remove the evaporative heat film. At the same time, the heat of the impinging jet is also effectively transferred to the futon, resulting in rapid evaporation of moisture. On the other hand, a hot air outlet 14 and an infrared radiant heater 15 are located below the futon.
radiant heat from the infrared radiant heater 15 and hot air from the hot air outlet 14 are blown intensively onto the inner side of the futon and the tip of the futon, which are difficult to dry. As a result, these parts are also rapidly dried from the inside by the impinging jets of hot air and their own heat. In this way, a cotton futon for adults can be dried in about 1.5 hours, which is half the time required before, with a fluffy finish.

Furthermore, since the circulation fan 10 is operated intermittently, hot air is intermittently blown from the hot air outlet 14, and while the hot air is stopped, moisture is transferred from the center of the futon to the surface layer. is promoted. This reduces the moisture gradient inside the futon,
By blowing hot air again in a state where the surface layer is moist, evaporation and vaporization can be efficiently carried out by radiant heat and forced convection. For this reason, futon drying is more efficient than when high-temperature hot air is continuously blown, and
The temperature on the surface of the futon will not rise abnormally and cause thermal deterioration such as burning or discoloration of the futon skin. Further, the damper 17 of the exhaust stack 16 is opened when blowing air in conjunction with the operation of the circulation fan 10 which is operated intermittently, and closed when the air is stopped, so that the generated moisture is discharged from the exhaust stack 16 in a timely manner. In this way, circulation fan 1
By combining the intermittent operation of 0 and the opening and closing of the damper 17, for example, by performing intermittent air blowing for about 15 minutes and stopping the air blowing for 15 minutes, it is possible to further shorten the time by 20 minutes compared to 1.5 hours in the case of continuous air blowing.

Note that the flow velocity of the impinging jet is suitably 10 m/s to 20 m/s in order to prevent damage to the futon cover. In addition, since a large amount of water evaporates in the early stages of drying, the damper 17 of the exhaust pipe 16 on the furnace ceiling is opened to release the moist air inside the furnace, and fresh air is sucked in from the suction pipe 18, so that the water evaporation subsides. In the lapse rate drying stage, where moisture evaporates and diffuses inside the futon and the humidity level of the furnace atmosphere decreases, thermal efficiency can be improved by closing the damper 17 of the exhaust pipe 16 and the damper 19 of the intake pipe 18 and circulating hot air only within the furnace. Also preferred from above.

(Effects of the invention) As is clear from the above explanation, the present invention is capable of drying a thick, moist futon in less than half the time required by conventional methods.
Its practical value is extremely great as a futon drying device suitable for hotels, inns, etc. where a large amount of futons need to be washed and dried.
