Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the flexure of a screen and to prevent a frame from becoming larger by bending a pair of opposite sides of a frame body and firmly fixing the screen main body on the frame body. CONSTITUTION:To firmly fit the frame body 1 made of metal such as aluminum, steel or high-rigidity plastic into the edge of the screen main body 3, the opposite side pair of the frame body 1 is forcibly bent beforehand at the highest level in the center, and in this condition the screen main body 3 is firmly fixed on the frame body 1. Afterward, force applied to the frame body 1 is released. In such a way, flexure is eliminated by imparting tensile force to the screen main body 3 without making the frame body 1 larger or complicated.

(Prior Art) Various types of projection screens, such as transmission type, used in projection televisions have been proposed and put into practical use.
In order to increase the viewing angle, books are known in which, for example, lenticular lenses are provided on the entrance surface, observation surface, or both sides of a plastic screen base material. By the way, recently,
In order to increase the resolution of screens, the lens pitch has become smaller and the screen base material has become thinner, and both sides of the screen have become larger. However, when the screen base material is thin and large, the rigidity of the base material is lost, the screen is easily bent, and even when it is attached to a device, it may not be able to stand up vertically.

(Problem to be Solved by the Invention) If the screen is bent in this way, it not only spoils the appearance, but also may prevent the desired optical properties from being obtained. Devices for applying tension have already been proposed, for example, in Japanese Utility Model Application Publication No. 60-154940 and Japanese Utility Model Application Publication No. 61-112329.

However, such devices inevitably have a complicated frame structure, making the frame itself large and fragile, and because it is partially gripped and pulled, minute irregularities occur between the parts that are not gripped. There were drawbacks, and the assembly work was complicated and expensive.

本発明はこのような状況に鑑み、スクリーンに十分な張

In view of this situation, the present invention is an attempt to efficiently manufacture a projection screen that provides sufficient tension to the screen, eliminates deflection, and does not increase the size of the frame.

(Means for solving the problems) The present invention has been made in order to solve the above problems,
The gist is that in a method of manufacturing a projection screen in which a frame is fixed to the periphery of a screen body made of plastic, at least a pair of opposing sides of the frame are forcibly curved in advance toward the center of the screen. The method of manufacturing a projection screen is characterized in that the screen body is fixed to the frame in this state, and then the force applied to the frame is released.

以下、本発明を図面に従ってさらに詳細に説明する。Hereinafter, the present invention will be explained in more detail with reference to the drawings.

Figure 1 shows a state where the frame is curved by applying a forced force. In the figure, (1) is the side (1 person) (1B), (
1C) and (1D), and is made of metal such as aluminum or steel, or highly rigid plastic. (2) is a pair of pressing jigs. In this example, opposing sides (1A) and (1C) are pressed, but the remaining sides (IB) and (ID) are simultaneously pressed and curved. This is good. Note that the degree of curving is determined by taking into consideration the size, thickness, etc. of the screen. Next, as shown in Figure 2, place the screen body (3) on the frame (1), fix the presser piece (4) with adhesive or screws, and attach the screen body (3) to the frame (1).
1). Once the adhesion is complete, use the above pressing jig (
2) The force is released, which causes the frame body (1) to return to its original state, and as a result, the screen body (1) is no longer subjected to tension and bends.

The screen body (1) used in the present invention may be made of any material as long as it is made of flexible plastic, and may be of a transmissive type or a reflective type. In the case of a transmission-type projection screen, acrylic V resin, polycarbonate resin, or vinyl chloride resin is generally used. An appropriate one can be used, such as one provided with a lenticular lens.

Using an aluminum hollow bar with a thickness of 211 m, a length of 23 m +, and a width of 30 -, the internal dimensions are 6751 + 111 x 5051.
111 rectangular frames were manufactured. This frame was curved by pressing a pair of opposing sides using a pressing jig shown in FIG. 1, so that the center of each side of the frame was recessed by 5 al. Next, in this state, the thickness is 1m, 695m x 515
Place the acrylic resin screen body of the barrier on the frame, and
It was fixed with adhesive using a presser piece as shown in the figure. After the fixation was completed, the force of the pressing jig was released, and the force of the frame returning to its original position uniformly applied tension to the screen body, making it possible to obtain the desired projection screen.

(Effects of the Invention) Since the present invention is a book having the structure as described in detail above, there is no need to apply tension to the screen body to cause deflection, and there is no need to make the frame large and complicated. , it is economically superior and highly practical.
