Abstract

PURPOSE:To omit the use of the connection cables and the connectors by adding an optical input device part into the main body of a terminal equipment. CONSTITUTION:An optical input part (an automatic bar code scanner) 2 is set into a lower part of a terminal equipment main body 1 to read the bar codes. At the same time, a keyboard input part 3 and a data display part 4 are set into the upper parts of the main body 1. The part 2 is applied onto a bar code 5. The bar code 5 is read and at the same time the necessary information are inputted to the main body 1 with push of the keys of the part 3 for collection of information. Then the input information is shown at the part 4. Thus no connector nor a connection cable is required for connection of an optical input device since the part 2 is contained in the main body 1.
