Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain an inexpensive cold insulating pack by a method wherein a water absorbing sheet produced by forming a higher aqueous resin into a sheet through a water-absorbing material is hermetically sealed into a water- permeable sheet and can be deformed freely to an certain extent even under a frozen condition to significantly lower the transportation cost. CONSTITUTION: This cold insulating pack 1 made up of a plurality of water absorbing sheets 3 sealed into a water-permeable sheet 2. The water-permeable sheet 2 is a nonwoven fabric, synthetic paper or the like and permeates water while keeping a strength to a certain degree even when containing water. The water-absorbing sheet has a higher aqueous resin formed into a sheet through a water-absorbing material such as pulp or water-absorbing paper. In the use of the cold insulating pack 1, water is applied to let the water-absorbing sheet 3 absorb it sufficiently through the water-permeable sheet 2 and then, the pack is put into a refrigerating storage. The cold insulating pack can be deformed freely to a certain extent even when frozen, thereby facilitating the housing thereof into a vacant space in an empty box.

<Prior Art> For example, when keeping a cool box or the like cool, a plastic bag filled with water or a commercially available cold insulating material is conventionally used. Here, when using ice, there is a risk that the plastic bag will tear easily, especially if the ice melts, causing problems such as getting the contents of the cool box wet, and it may be time-consuming to use. Therefore, commercially available cold insulation materials are often used.

By the way, conventionally commercially available cold insulation materials include those in which a liquid refrigerant is sealed in a plastic container or the like, or those in which a jelly-like refrigerant is sealed in a bag, which can be used as is after being frozen.

<Problems to be solved by the invention> As mentioned above, conventionally commercially available cold insulation materials can be used by being frozen as is, but in any case, the shape is fixed at least after freezing. Therefore, there was an inconvenience that space had to be reserved for the cold insulation material in the cool box. In addition, since the commercially available product itself is bulky and heavy, there is also the problem that transportation costs are considerably high.

Means for Solving the Problems〉 The cold pack of the present invention that achieves the above objects uses a water-absorbing sheet made of a super absorbent resin formed into a sheet shape through a valve, water-absorbing material such as water-absorbing paper, and a water-permeable sheet. It is characterized by being sealed in a water-permeable sheet, and its usage is by sealing a water-absorbent sheet made of super absorbent resin into a sheet shape through a water-absorbing material such as a valve or water-absorbing paper into a water-permeable sheet. The pack absorbs water and is used for cold storage after being refrigerated or frozen.

Here, the water-permeable sheet 2 is a nonwoven fabric 2, such as synthetic paper, that allows water to pass through it and has a certain degree of strength even when it contains water. The water-absorbing sheet 3 is formed by molding a highly water-absorbent resin into a sheet through a water-absorbing material such as pulp or water-absorbing paper. More specifically, it refers to, for example, one in which a super absorbent resin is sandwiched between pulps and compacted, or one in which a super absorbent resin is sandwiched between water absorbent papers. Here, each layer of the superabsorbent resin itself is preferably made fairly thin so that it can easily absorb water, and if necessary, it is preferable to have a multilayer structure. In addition, in order to prevent the superabsorbent resin sandwiched thinly on a flat surface from shifting, the partitioned portion 3a is compressed particularly strongly during molding in order to partition it in a direction perpendicular to its thickness. It is better to form.

A plurality of such water-absorbing sheets can be laminated as in this embodiment, but they can also be rolled into a spiral shape to form a cylindrical cold pack, for example.

Note that any superabsorbent resin may be used as long as it has a water absorbing power of several hundred times its own weight and has the ability to retain absorbed water even under a small amount of pressure. Since the cold pack 1 of the present invention is designed to be able to absorb 100 to 200 times its own weight of water, it will expand mainly in the thickness direction of the water absorbent sheet 3 when absorbing water, so this expansion should be taken into consideration. It is necessary to set the size of the water-permeable sheet 2.

When using the cold pack 1 of the present invention, first, the water-absorbing sheet 3 is made to sufficiently absorb water through the water-permeable sheet 2 to bring it into the state shown in the second rIA, and then placed in a cold state [11]. After sufficiently freezing, it is stored in a cool box, for example.

Furthermore, it has the advantage that if the article to be kept cold is long and narrow, it can be wrapped around it, or if the article is thin, it can be used by continuously and alternately sandwiching the article in a fanfold shape. Moreover, since water does not release even after the cold insulation effect is lost, even if the water-permeable sheet 2 is torn, the inside of the cool box will not be flooded with water. Note that this cold pack may be used after absorbing water or by being placed in a resin bag that is impermeable to frozen water.

<Effects of the Invention> As explained above, according to the present invention, even after freezing, it can be deformed to some extent and is easy to use, and furthermore, it is possible to reduce weight and save space until it is used, so it is easy to transport. This also has the effect of significantly reducing costs.
