The moisture generated in the sheet may stain the sheet or cause mold to form, detracting from its aesthetic appearance.

There are polyacrylamide-based, polyacrylate-based, saponified vinyl acetate/methyl acrylate copolymer-based, and polyoxyethylene-based, all of which have hydrophilic groups in polyoxyethylene chains or carboxylic acid side chains. In addition, there are also nonionic polymers such as polyvinylpyrrolidone, and crosslinked polymers of sulfonic acids such as polystyrene sulfonic acid and poly-2-acrylamido-2-methylpropanesulfonic acid. These are water-insoluble polymers with hydrophilic functional groups.

These borate compounds are poorly soluble in water; for example, in the case of a salt of boric acid and an alkali metal acid compound, it becomes easily soluble in water, and when used as a paint, its effect cannot be expected to last long. This has been excluded due to certain reasons. The above-mentioned borate needs to be blended in a proportion of 3 to 100 parts by weight based on 100 parts by weight of the solid content of the synthetic resin emulsion or coating film-forming product whose main component is pigment.

The generation of mold is suppressed by changing the moisture atmosphere.
