Abstract

PURPOSE:To observe the state of toner recovery at any time to forecast the expiration of the life of a photosensitive body by providing a toner recovery case with a window through which the expansion state of a toner recovery vessel is observed and storing toner in the toner recovery vessel while compressing it with the toner pressing force of a toner carrying body. CONSTITUTION:Toner 11 scraped from a photosensitive body 1 is pressed into a toner guide path 4; and when the toner guide path 4 is filled up with the toner 11, a bellows part 5-1 of a toner recovery vessel 5 is expanded, and the toner 11 is stored in the toner recovery vessel 5 while being compressed to expand the toner recovery vessel 5. A detector operating member 9 is provided in the front end of the toner recovery vessel 5, and a toner recovery case 6 is provided with a toner fullness detector 10, and this detector is operated when the toner recovery vessel 5 is filled up with the toner 11 and is expanded up to the maximum. The toner recovery case 6 is provided with a window 6-1 in the expansion direction so that the expanding state of the toner recovery vessel can be observed from the outside. Thus, this window is used also to report the expiration of the life of the photosensitive body.

A conventional toner recovery device will be explained with reference to FIGS. 7, 8, and 9. 7 and 8 are side cross-sectional views showing an initial state and a toner-filled state, and FIG. 9 is a front view cross-sectional view showing a state in which fullness is detected when toner is unevenly accumulated. In the figure, 1 is a photoreceptor, 2 is a toner removing member, 20
10 is a toner full detector, 21 is a rubber-like elastic member, 22 is a detector operating member, and 23 is a toner collection container. As shown in FIG. 7, the toner 11 scraped off from the photoconductor 1 by the toner removing member 2 is accumulated in the toner collection container 23, and when the toner 11 reaches the toner collection container 23, as shown in FIG. As such, the elastic member 21 is deformed, and the detector operating member 22 is configured to operate the toner full detector 10 to detect whether the toner is full. With the conventional toner recirculation device as described above, it is impossible to accumulate scraped toner uniformly, and the amount of toner collected when the toner full detector operates as shown in Figure 9 is , because it is determined by the amount of toner accumulated, the toner collection amount itself is large (varies). Therefore, when trying to collect a certain amount of toner, the toner collection container is closed. It ended up being larger than necessary.Furthermore, detecting when the toner is full also served as a notification of the lifespan of the photoreceptor, but due to large fluctuations in the amount of toner collected, the actual The lifespan of the photoconductor itself varied, and the lifespan was determined by something that was not the original lifespan of the photoconductor. As a result, the printing cost per sheet also varied significantly. In addition, with this mechanism, the user is suddenly informed of the timing at which the waste toner is full, without any prior notice, and at the moment it is detected, the printer becomes 41' unable to print. Therefore, users had to always have a spare photoconductor ready in order to continue printing.

(Means for Solving the Problems) In order to solve the above problems, the present invention provides a toner transport body that transports toner scraped off from the surface of a photoreceptor by a toner removal member in one direction, and a toner transport A container is connected to the toner guide path, and expands while accumulating toner in accordance with the amount of toner carried by the toner carrier. A toner collection container that prevents toner from leaking,
The toner collection case has a built-in toner collection case, and the toner collection case is provided with a window through which the state of expansion of the toner collection container can be observed. This is a toner collection device that compresses toner while accumulating it, and allows you to check the state of toner collection at any time.

An embodiment of the present invention will be explained below using FIGS. 1 to 6. Fig. 1 is a side sectional view, Fig. 2, Fig. 3 is a sectional view of the front view, Fig. 4 is a partial sectional view of the front view, and Figs. 5 and 6 are front views showing other embodiments. FIG. In FIGS. 1 to 3, 1 is a photoreceptor, 3 is a spiral toner conveyor that conveys the toner 11 scraped off by the toner removing member 2 in one direction, and 4 is the toner conveyed by the toner conveyor 3. 5 is a toner collection container consisting of a thin film-like tube with one end sealed, which is folded into a bellows shape on the outside of the opening of the toner guide path 4, and the opening end thereof is connected to the toner guide path 4. , are sealed and fixed by a fixing member 8. Reference numeral 6 denotes a case housing the toner collection container 5, which guides the expansion of the toner collection container 5. The operation will now be explained. The toner 11 scraped off from the photoconductor 1 is carried to the toner guide path 4 side by the toner conveying body 3, and the toner! When the toner 11 is pushed into the Is path 4 and the toner guide path 4 is filled with the toner 11, the bellows 1 portion 5-1 of the toner collection container 5 expands, and the toner 11 is compressed and accumulated in the toner collection container 5. ,
As shown in FIG. 3, the toner collection container 5 expands. Further, the toner collection case 6 is provided with an opening hole 7 for venting air. Further, a detector operating member 9 is provided at the tip of the toner collection container 5, a toner full detector 10 is provided in the toner collection case 6, and a toner full detector 10 is provided at the toner collection case 6.
It is designed to operate when the inside is filled with toner 11 and fully expanded. FIG. 4 shows that a window 6-1 is provided in the toner collection case 6 along the expansion direction so that the expansion of the toner collection container 5 can be observed from the outside, and a window 6-1 is provided in the toner collection case 6 so that the expansion of the toner collection container 5 can be observed from the outside. It is something that 5 and 6 show another embodiment of the present invention, in which a window 6-2 provided in the toner collection case 6 is provided at the open end of the toner guide path 4 (on the side of the toner collection container). Furthermore, the toner collection container 5 is colored, for example, as blue 5-3, yellow 5-4, and red 5-5, as shown in FIG. Here, the toner collection container 5 is made of an inexpensive film such as nylon and satisfies its functions. Further, the toner conveying body 3 is not limited to a spiral shape, and a belt or the like may also be used to satisfy the function. Further, the coloring and shape of the toner collection container 5 may be of any color as long as it is easy to identify.

According to the present invention as described above, no matter how the printing pattern changes and the toner scraped off the photoconductor changes, the toner can be collected and the toner collection container can be changed according to the toner collection times. Because it expands, it is possible to reliably collect a predetermined amount of toner, and it can also be packed while being compressed, making it possible to downsize the toner collection container. Even if the toner in the toner collection container solidifies, it will not affect the expansion function of the toner collection container (and problems such as poor collection will not occur).Furthermore, the toner collection status can be easily observed from the outside at any time. , the user can predict when the toner will be full. Therefore, even if this is used as a guide to indicate the life of the drum, there is little variation, so it can be used as a very reliable 0g light body life display function. In addition, being able to collect a stable amount of toner will actually extend the life of the photoconductor.
This leads to lower running costs. The present invention
This toner recovery device has many effects as described above.
