Abstract

PURPOSE:To secure safety at the time of wiring work by tripping an on-off mechanism of a circuit breaker when a terminal cover at the load side is released, dissociating a movable contact therefrom, and preventing the impression of voltage to a load side terminal from occurring. CONSTITUTION:A lever 12 being energized in direction of pressing a movable core 7 by a spring 22 is installed there as an open detecting means for a cover 10. The lever 12 is rotatably held in a phase-to-phase insulating part of a box body 30 of a breaker, and furthermore a terminal cover detecting part 12b is projected into a mounting hole part 13 of the terminal cover 10. Consequently, in an uninstalled state of the terminal cover 10, since the lever 12 presses the movable core 7 with a pressing part 12a installed in an arm, a circuit breaking part comes into a state of being tripped whereby voltage impression to a load terminal is prevented from occurring, while such a state that is not in ON operation is maintained. When the cover 10 is attached, an engaging part 10a pushes the terminal cover 12b and the lever 12 is pushed up so that the tripped state is released, thus the ON operation is made possible.

The above conventional technology does not take into consideration the prevention of electric shock accidents when performing wiring work, etc., and if the circuit breaker is accidentally turned on during wiring work, voltage is applied to the terminals, resulting in accidents such as electric shock or ground fault. There was a problem that there was a risk of this occurring. Furthermore, if the terminal cover is forgotten to be attached after the wiring work is completed, there is a problem in that the live parts are exposed and there is a risk of electric shock.

The above object includes: a terminal cover provided on the circuit breaker so as to cover each of the power supply side terminal and the load terminal; and a terminal cover mounting portion provided on the casing to allow the terminal cover to be inserted.
An open detecting means for detecting that the terminal cover is opened, and a trip means for tripping the opening/closing mechanism when the open detecting means detects that the terminal cover is opened, and the open detecting means is provided at least on the load side terminal side. This is achieved by configuring the movable contact provided on the terminal cover mounting portion of the terminal cover to separate the movable contact provided on the power source side from the terminal when the terminal cover is opened.

The open detecting means is provided in the terminal cover mounting part and detects the opening of the terminal cover 1, and operates the tripping mechanism or the overcurrent detecting means via the trip means to trip the opening/closing mechanism. When the terminal cover of the load side terminal is opened, the opening/closing mechanism of the circuit breaker is tripped, the movable contact is separated, and voltage is prevented from being applied to the load side terminal. This makes it possible to prevent voltage application to terminal l due to erroneous operation during wiring work.

It has a terminal cover 10. In this embodiment, a lever 12 is provided as an open detecting means, and the lever 12 is biased in the direction of pressing the movable core 7 by a spring 22, and this lever 12 is attached to the case of the circuit breaker as shown in FIGS. 4 and 5. 9, which is rotatably held in the interphase insulating part 30a that serves as the terminal cover attachment part of 30;
Further, a terminal cover detection portion 12b protrudes into the mounting hole portion 13 of the terminal cover 10 of the interphase insulating portion 30a. Therefore, as shown by the dashed line in FIG. 5, when the terminal cover 10 is not attached (terminal cover open state), the lever 12 pushes the movable core 7 with the suppressing parts 1 and 2 a provided on the arm 12C. Since it is pressed, 1 circuit breaker = 4 = The breaker is in a trip state, preventing voltage application to the load side terminal and maintaining a state in which it cannot be turned on. According to the embodiments described above, the safety of the operator can be ensured because the circuit breaker cannot be operated without protective covers such as the terminal cover interphase barrier and the outer box. Furthermore, since wiring work cannot be performed unless the circuit breaker is opened, worker safety can be ensured. Furthermore, even if you make a mistake and attempt to perform wiring work with the circuit closed, the operator may be required to open the circuit breaker by removing the terminal cover, etc., or by opening the second-position circuit breaker, etc. It can prevent accidents such as electric shock to the handler, etc.

1. A fixed contact in a housing, a movable contact, a switching mechanism that connects and separates the movable contact from the fixed contact, overcurrent detection means for detecting a load current, the switching mechanism and the overcurrent. a tripping mechanism interposed between the detection means and the overcurrent detection means to transmit the movement of the overcurrent detection means to the opening/closing mechanism and tripping the opening/closing mechanism when an overcurrent is applied; In the circuit breaker, the circuit breaker includes a power supply side terminal connected to the movable contact, and a load side terminal electrically connected to the movable contact via the overcurrent detection means, wherein the power supply side terminal and the load side Among the terminals, a terminal cover provided to cover at least the load-side terminal, a terminal cover mounting portion provided on the housing so that the terminal cover can be inserted, and the terminal cover being opened. an open detection means for detecting the opening of the terminal cover; and a trip means for tripping the opening/closing mechanism when the open detection means detects that the terminal cover is opened; A circuit breaker characterized in that a movable contact provided on the power source side of the terminal is configured to open and separate.
