は通常の手法によつてトツプリング溝を形成すべ
き部分にアルミニウム―銅合金部分を形成する態
様を示した部分的断面図、第５図は第４図の手法
により形成されたアルミニウム―銅合金部分の断

Claims (1)
- アルミニウム合金製ピストンのピストンリング
溝を形成すべき外周面に銅又は銅合金製のワイヤ
を嵌装して同ワイヤを電子ビーム等の高エネルギ
ビームにより溶融させアルミニウム―銅合金組織
を生成させるようにしたものにおいて、上記銅又
は銅合金ワイヤと共に溶融するピストン外周面部
を、隣接するピストン外周面部より予め大径に形
成したことを特徴とする内燃機関用ピストン。
