Conventionally, in order to facilitate assembly and production and adapt to miniaturization, an electromagnetic block was sandwiched between a pair of terminal blocks to which terminals were fixed, and the terminal block was inserted into a recess in the base. An electromagnetic relay with a cover fitted has been proposed. When assembling this type of electromagnetic relay, the connection between the coil and the coil terminal is made by first holding the electromagnetic block between the terminal blocks, then winding the coil around the coil terminal and making a temporary connection, and then fitting the terminal block into the base. Complete connection is achieved by soldering the temporarily connected coil and coil terminal. However, since the coil is exposed until the cover is fitted, it can easily break if it hits an object, and it can also easily break if a jig hits the coil terminal or the end of the cover hits the coil terminal during the assembly stage. Even if the coil terminal falls in the direction of pulling the coil, there is a risk of the coil breaking.

When the cover 27 is fitted, the lower end of the cover 27 may come into contact with the protrusions 116a and 16b, causing the protrusions 116a and 16b to fall in the direction of pulling the coil 3 (in the direction of the arrow in FIG. 1), which may cause the coil 3 to break. However, in the present invention, the protrusions 16 of the coil terminals 13a, 113b
Since the protective walls 19a, 19b are provided near the sides of the coils 19a, 16b, the coils themselves are protected and the protective walls 19a, 19b are protected against external forces in the direction of the arrow.
19b is the protrusion 16 of the coil terminals 13a, 13b.
a, 16b and prevent the protrusions 16a, 16b from falling. Therefore, the risk of disconnection of the coil 3 is completely eliminated. In addition, the protective wall 19
Since a and 19b also function as guides when fitting the cover 27 onto the base 17, the cover can be reliably fitted in an accurate position.

As is clear from the above explanation, according to the present invention, a protective wall is provided integrally with the base to protect the exposed coil and coil terminal when the electromagnetic block and terminal block are fitted into the base. Disconnection of the coil can be completely prevented, and since the protective wall only protects the outer surface, it does not interfere with the connection work between the coil and the coil terminal. Furthermore, the protective wall also serves as a guide when fitting the cover, making it easier to fit the cover. Also, since the protective wall is placed opposite the ceiling surface of the cover, external force acts on the cover, causing the cover to deform. There is no need to worry about external force being applied to the coil terminals.
