Claims (1)

用紙台上に載置された用紙を給紙ローラまで初期
搬送させる送り出しローラと、前記給紙ローラに
対向して設けられ、用紙の送り方向と逆に回転す
る分離ローラと、上記給紙ローラ、送り出しロー
ラおよび分離ローラに動力を伝達するとともに、
少なくとも給紙ローラとの間にクラツチを備えた
第１の駆動手段と、上記給紙ローラで搬送された
用紙を、所定部へ搬送するレジストローラと、前
記レジストローラを所定のタイミングで駆動する
、少なくともレジストクラツチを有する第２の駆
動手段とを具備する給紙装置において、上記分離
ローラが、第１の駆動手段によつて単独駆動され
るとともに、少なくともレジストローラの回転が
開始する時点において、分離ローラを回転駆動さ
せる駆動制御手段を具備することを特徴とする給
