具の自動交換装置であつて、 上記工具をその軸線が上記主軸の軸線と平行に
なる状態で保持する工具ホルダと、 該工具ホルダをそれに保持された上記工具の軸
線方向に変位可能に弾性支持する弾性支持手段と
、 上記工具ホルダの上記変位可能方向の変位を検
出する変位検出手段と、 該変位検出手段からの出力に基づき、上記主軸
を設定位置まで上記工具に向けて相対移動させた
時に上記工具ホルダが上記弾性支持手段に抗して
基準位置から変位している場合、該工具ホルダが
上記弾性支持手段によつて逆方向に変位せしめら
れるまで上記主軸を上記工具に対して相対回転さ
せる回転制御手段とを備えて成ることを特徴とす
