[Conventional technology and its problems] Conventionally, insulating covers such as various connector covers and sleeve covers have had the disadvantage that rainwater can enter and corrode the wire connections, and especially near the coast, salt damage accelerates corrosion. This caused a power failure.

In order to solve this problem, for example, the inner diameter of the holding cylinder for inserting the electric wire connected to the side end of the connector of the insulating cover or the housing part of the sleeve is gradually tapered outward to create a small diameter. By forming a tapered hole like this, and cutting off the tip of the holding tube at a point where the diameter of the tapered hole matches the wire diameter, airtightness can be maintained according to the wire diameter. It is well known that it is difficult to perform such adjustment work at high places, and it is also difficult to make sure that the diameter of the wire and the diameter of the taper hole match closely to improve airtightness. is extremely difficult.

Therefore, by filling the holding cylinder of the insulating cover with a butyl rubber compound,
Some devices use this compound to seal the space between the wire and the holding tube. However, in such a device, when the electric wire and the holding tube are in close contact with each other and there is no gap, the compound is unnecessary and is wasted, resulting in an inconvenience of increased costs.

Furthermore, in ``Insulating cover for electric wire connection section'' of JP-A No. 52-109187, symmetrical wing pieces are formed to form a hollow part with a bulge that accommodates the electric wire connection section through the folded wire. Disclosed is a device in which a pressure-deformable viscoelastic sealing layer for sealing an electric wire is formed in both end regions located at the folding tip. However, since a predetermined amount of the viscoelastic sealing layer is provided in advance at fixed positions at both ends of a standard wing piece, it is regulated by the size of the insulating cover, and once it is set at the fixed position, the position and sealing amount cannot be changed. Can not. Therefore, when changing the size of the wire connection part or changing the diameter of the wire at a work site, etc.
There will be a pause. In this case, by replacing the insulation cover with an insulation cover of a different size, the position or thickness of the sealing layer can be changed on the wire to create insulation of just the right size even when it is desired to seal the gap between the wire and the cover. The disadvantage is that it is difficult when there is no cover.

Also, ``Insulators for electrical conductors'' in Utility Model Application No. 51-21869
Then, a splittable box made of an insulating molded product is used to enclose the required insulating parts of the conductor, and the split boxes are joined together, with openings formed at each end of the box to allow the conductor to pass through. Projections are provided at two locations, one at the end and the inner part, and an insulating filler is injected between the projections and hardened. Thereby, by sealing and adhering the conductor and the insulation, the conductor is insulated and the insulation treatment work is facilitated, the time required for the insulation treatment is shortened, and variations in performance are reduced.

However, the sealing adhesive layer formed at the opening of the box is made by sandwiching the insulating sealant between two opposing protrusions and by injecting an insulating filler between the two protrusions. It is very time-consuming and has the disadvantage that it cannot be used for simple and quick work that is required especially at high places.

[Purpose and structure of the present invention] The present invention solves all of the above-mentioned drawbacks and seals the inside of the insulating cover very easily and reliably to maintain airtightness by using a sealing material formed into a long and thin string-like material. The purpose of this method is to provide a method for attaching an insulating cover to the wire connection portion, using a thin string-like material made of a sticky compound such as butyl rubber. An object is attached on a narrow tape-shaped release paper in a substantially straight line and wound, and the string-like object is attached to the surface of the electric wire at a corresponding position of a holding cylinder provided for introducing and leading out the electric wire to the end of the insulating cover. Either remove the release paper and attach it in a circular pattern, or attach the string-like material in a circular pattern to the tube opening of the holding cylinder of the insulating cover while also peeling off the release paper, and then attach the string-like material in a circular pattern to the wire connection part. By applying the cover, a string-like object made of a compound attached to the electric wire is brought into sliding contact with the inner wall surface of the holding tube, and the string-like object is spread to seal the gap between the electric wire and the holding tube. It was designed so that

[Effects of the Invention] As described above, the method for hermetically sealing an insulating cover for an electric wire connection portion of the present invention prevents the contact between the electric wire introduced/lead out at the end of the insulating cover and the inner wall surface of the holding cylinder of the insulating cover. In between, a long and thin string-like object made of adhesive compound is peeled off from a narrow tape-like release paper and circulated, and the insulating cover is slid into contact with the string-like compound to form a film. Since it spreads over the space to seal the gap, it is extremely easy to work with and can be easily constructed even in narrow spaces. In addition, it is economical because you only need to use the appropriate amount of compound at the desired location, so there is no waste, and even if you cut off the tip of the holding cylinder to match the diameter of the wire used at the site, the location and amount of string-like material can be attached at any time. This has the advantage that the airtightness can be determined appropriately and a reliable hermetic seal can be achieved efficiently.
