The present invention relates to improvements in rotors for centrifuges. Conventionally, a protrusion provided on either a bucket or a rotary plate for suspension support has had a circular cross-sectional shape. For example, in Figures 1 and 2, 1
2 is a rotating plate, 2 is a bucket, 3 is a hole for holding a tube, etc., and 4 is a projection forming a rotation axis, and the projection has a circular cross-sectional shape. Normally, there is no problem even if the protrusion has a circular cross-section, but if the distance between the center of gravity of the bucket 2 and the rotation axis is not long enough, the bucket 2 will not be able to maintain the relationship between the protrusion and the protrusion receiver even after centrifugation. Due to friction, the bucket would stop at a large angle, causing inconvenience when removing the bucket from the rotary plate. The purpose of the present invention is to eliminate such residual inclination, and the gist of the present invention is to provide a centrifugal system consisting of a bucket that holds a container such as a tube containing a sample to be separated, and a rotary plate that rotatably supports the bucket. A rotor for a separator, characterized in that the cross-sectional shape parallel to the rotating surface of the protrusion provided on either the bucket belt or the rotary plate for suspension support is an occluded circle surrounded by an arc and a straight line. Found in centrifuge rotors. The embodiment shown in FIGS. 3 and 4 is an embodiment in which the protrusion 5 has a cross-sectional shape surrounded by an arc and a straight line. The other configurations are the same as those shown in FIGS. 1 and 2. When a protrusion is provided on the bucket bag (FIG. 3), the straight section 5' of the protrusion is positioned below the protrusion. Further, when a projection is provided on the rotating plate (FIG. 4), the straight section 5' of the projection is positioned above the projection. According to this structure, when the rotary plate 1 is stopped, the bucket 2 hangs down and the protrusion 5
The straight part 5' of the projection 5 faces the bottom surface 1' of the receiving part, and during rotation, the straight part 5' of the protrusion 5 faces the rising surface 1'' of the receiving part. 6 is the drive shaft of the rotary plate 1. Now, In Figures 7 and 8, W: weight of the bucket R 1 , R 2 : drag force F 1 , F 2 : frictional force l: distance between the center of gravity of the bucket and the rotation axis r: radius of the protrusion φ: the radius of the protrusion Assuming that the angle θ indicating the size of the cut is the inclination of the bucket, the counterclockwise rotational moment about the rotation axis is M 1 = Wl sin θ − F 1 r − F 2 in Fig. 7 (conventional example). In Fig. 8 (this invention), M 2 = Wl sinθ−F 1 r−F 2 r cos(φ−θ) +R 2 r sin(φ−θ) where 0≦θ<φ. Comparing the two equations, it is clear that M 1 <M 2 , and it can be seen that the present invention has a greater tendency to reduce the slope. Here, when l = 10 mm and r = 6 mm, the missing Table 1 shows the experimental results of the relationship between the angle φ indicating the size of the notch in the circle and the residual angle θ 0 of the bucket. The coefficient of friction of the material used was 0.47.
