In dentistry whose main purpose is to treat dental malocclusion, the latest and most advanced method is to fix a bracket 1 as a wire holding device to each tooth 2, as shown in Fig. Insert and fix one orthodontic wire 3 in sequence,
This is a method of straightening teeth 2 using the elasticity of wire 3. For example, as shown in Fig. 2, when the central incisors 2 11 of the upper jaw are abnormally protruding outward as shown by the solid line and are to be corrected to normal occlusion as shown by the chain lines, first each tooth 2 11 ...

A single curved straightening wire 3 is sequentially fixed to ..., and the elasticity of the wire 3 corrects the straightening.

The biggest drawback of the above method is that since the brackets 1 are bonded to the outside of the teeth 2 11 , the brackets 1 are exposed to the outside when the mouth is opened, resulting in a lack of aesthetics. To solve this problem, the applicant has already proposed a device for treating teeth by attaching a bracket 1 to the inside of all the teeth as shown in FIG. 3 (Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 57-44967). As a result, the bracket and the like do not come into contact with other people's eyes even when the patient opens his/her mouth, which is aesthetically pleasing and also reduces the mental burden on the patient. The first one like this
In the method shown in the figures and in FIG. 3, the envelope connecting the outer or inner surfaces of the teeth has a substantially semi-elliptical shape.

On the other hand, with conventional brackets, the bracket is perpendicular to the occlusal plane (the plane formed to include all the points where the upper and lower tooth rows come into contact when the two rows of teeth intersect) (as shown in Figure 4) or Wire insertion grooves having either one parallel wire insertion direction were formed. For example, the invention described in JP-A-56-112238 can be mentioned.

However, in the conventional bracket 1, the wire insertion groove 5 was straight as shown in FIG.
It is troublesome to insert the pre-curved arch wire 3, and the arch wire 3 has to be bent and adjusted one by one, which not only makes the operation by the surgeon (orthodontist) troublesome, but also requires the arch wire 3 to be curved for correction. There were problems such as deformation of the wires. On the other hand, when performing orthodontics by attaching the bracket 1 to the inside of the tooth, the range in which the operator can operate becomes extremely narrow, making the orthodontic work difficult. A wire insertion groove is required.
On the other hand, in the case of a wire insertion groove that is substantially perpendicular to the occlusal plane as shown in Fig. 4, the wire insertion groove is composed of two opposing wall surfaces, so a relatively thick archwire (which increases orthodontic force and torque) is used. When using an archwire (which is useful for adding archwires), the wire cannot be inserted into the insertion groove in its original shape due to constraints from the wall surface of the wire insertion groove (this is particularly likely to occur in areas where the archwire has a steep curve). ), which limits the thickness of the archwire that can be used. Therefore, it is not possible to freely control the straightening force, torque, etc. by changing the thickness of the wire, which poses a problem in improving the efficiency and accuracy of straightening. still,
This problem does not occur with conventional wire holding devices provided with wire insertion grooves in the wire insertion direction substantially parallel to the occlusal plane. This is because a wire having a thickness matching the width of the groove can be easily inserted into the insertion groove regardless of the curve of the archwire. Furthermore, it is often necessary to apply orthodontic force to teeth at different locations from different angles, and a wire holding device having as many wire insertion directions as possible is desirable in terms of facilitating orthodontic work.

The present invention has been made to solve these problems, and when attaching a wire holding device to the lingual side of a tooth, the orthodontic archwire can be easily inserted into the wire insertion groove, and the orthodontic force can be freely controlled. In an orthodontic device in which wire holding devices are fixed to the lingual side of each tooth and orthodontic archwires are sequentially engaged with these wire holding devices to correct the alignment of the teeth, the wire holding device is ,
an orthodontic device formed with a wire insertion groove that has a predetermined curvature that matches the shape of the orthodontic archwire and has a wire insertion direction that is substantially perpendicular to the occlusal plane when fixed to each tooth; In an orthodontic device in which a wire holding device is fixed to a side surface of each tooth, and an orthodontic archwire is sequentially engaged with these wire holding devices to correct tooth alignment, the wire holding device is fixed to each tooth. a first wire insertion groove having a wire insertion direction substantially perpendicular to the occlusal plane and matching the shape of the predetermined archwire for correction; and a wire insertion direction substantially parallel to the occlusal plane. The present invention provides an orthodontic device in which a second wire insertion groove is formed. Note that the above-mentioned predetermined curvature differs depending on which tooth in the tooth row it is used for.

By employing a wire insertion groove having a predetermined curvature, the archwire can be easily inserted and the wire thickness can be freely selected up to a wire thickness (full size) that matches the width of the wire insertion groove. Therefore, since it becomes easier to control the orthodontic force, torque, etc., the period required for orthodontic treatment can be shortened and the precision of orthodontic treatment can be improved.

On the other hand, by providing a second wire insertion groove with a different wire insertion direction, it is possible to select a wire insertion groove in which the archwire can be more easily installed, thereby further facilitating the archwire insertion work. Further, by employing the second wire insertion groove, the effect that the direction in which the orthodontic force is applied can be freely used is also provided.

Hereinafter, one embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings from FIG. 5 onwards. In Figures 5a and b, 6 is
This is an adhesive plate that serves as a fixed substrate that is directly bonded to the teeth. This fixed board 6 is a belt ring 4 as shown in FIG.
Alternatively, the fixed substrate 6 and the base (tooth surface side) of the bracket body 7 may be integrated. A case where the adhesive plate 6 is used will be described below. A bracket 7 as a wire holding device is fixed to the fixed substrate 6. A wire insertion groove 8 is formed on the upper surface of the bracket 7 with a predetermined radius of curvature R.
It is pre-curved. The radius of curvature R at this time depends on the purpose of use, that is, whether it will be used by bonding to the outside of the tooth or to the inside of the tooth.
They are formed in various sizes, for example from 5 mm to nearly infinity, so that they can be used depending on which teeth they are attached to, the upper jaw, the lower jaw, the large jaw, the alignment of the teeth, etc. In addition, Fig. 5 a, b
