多数の発光素子を縦横に配置した電光表示装置
は、主として競技場、街頭に設置され、電気信号
により映像やメツセージを表出させるように構成
されるが、従来のこの種の装置は、発光素子を水

の上方やビルの壁面に設置した場合には、観覧者
から見て上方にあるために発光素子の指向性の関
係から光量が低下してしまい、明瞭度の著しい低
下をきたす。なお、発光素子の指向性が広けれ
ば、そのようなことはないが、指向性を広くした
分だけ、発光素子の発光光度を上げなければなら
ないために消費電力の著しい上昇を伴い、経済的
に不利である。

5を貫通して発光素子6をソケツト3に装着して

もつて設定できることになり、施工上のメリツト
が大きい。

記ソケツトに装着した前記発光素子を下向きに傾
斜させたことを特徴とする電光表示装置であり、
以下に示す優れた作用効果を奏する。
