Conventional technology and its problems Conventionally, as a heating element for an electric furnace using a lanthanum chromite tube, the lower end of the heating element is placed on a stand, and the upper side of the heating element is supported by a lead wire attached to the upper electrode of the heating element. There was something to set in the electric furnace.

In this conventional heating element for electric furnaces, a bend of about 5 to 10 mm occurs due to the axial strain of the heating element at the high temperature inside the furnace (usually 1800°C), and as a result, the heating element may break, melt, or break at the bent part. Melting occurred due to a reaction with the alumina, zirconia, and mullite tubes that cover the heating element to protect the furnace chamber from the generated chromium sesquioxide, reducing the lifespan of the heating element.

In addition, in conventional heating elements for electric furnaces, a considerable amount of heat escapes to the outside through convection and radiation through the gap between the furnace body and the upper part of the heating element that passes through it, so the temperature around the upper electrode of the heating element is approximately 500%. The temperature was as high as ~700℃. For this reason, the stability of the metal used in the electrode part was poor, and there were restrictions on the selection of the metal used in the electrode part.

A collar 6 made of heat-resistant porcelain such as alumina, zirconia, or mullite is fixed to the upper part of the heating element 1, and the heating element 1 is suspended from the upper surface of the electric furnace 7 by the collar 6, so that the lower end side is in the air. Set it in furnace 1 while floating on the surface. When the heating element 1 is set in the furnace 1, a collar 8 made of heat-resistant porcelain such as alumina, zirconia, or mullite may be interposed between the collar 6 and the upper surface of the furnace 7, if necessary.

The upper collar 6 of the heating element 1 contributes to suspending the heating element 1 in the furnace 1 with its lower end suspended in the air by placing the collar on the upper surface of the furnace 7 and suspending it only at its upper end. , functions to block heat from going outside through the gap between the furnace 7 and the upper part of the heating element 1 passing through it.

Effects of the invention As described above, according to the invention, the heating element can be set in the furnace with the lower end suspended in the air and only the upper end suspended. Since no such weight is applied to the heating element, the heating element is hardly bent, and the adverse effects caused by bending can be eliminated, and the life of the heating element is improved.

Furthermore, with the present invention, it is possible to block heat from going outside through the gap between the furnace and the upper part of the heating element that passes through it, thereby lowering the temperature around the upper electrode of the heating element and improving the stability of the electrode metal. It is possible to make changes.
