A sliding switch is constructed in such a way that a movable contact slides on fixed contacts arranged on an insulating substrate. As shown in Figure 1, an insulating protrusion is provided between the fixed contacts, and the center line of the insulating protrusion is A structure in which a concave portion is formed has been proposed (see, for example, Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 57-10033). That is, a plurality of fixed contacts 2 are arranged on an insulating substrate 1, and a contact holder 5 in which a movable contact 3 is assembled so as to be biased downward by a spring 4 is arranged on top of the fixed contact 2. Insulating protrusions 6 are arranged in two rows along the sliding direction of the contact holder 5, and a recess 7 is formed in a space on the center line sandwiched by the insulating protrusions 6.

This structure was adopted to reduce contact wear and insulator wear, and to eliminate contact instability caused by fine powder of the insulator, but in reality, lubricating grease and contact wear powder are deposited in the recesses. 7, causing insulation deterioration. Also, since there is a recess 7 on the center line, metal powder oxidized by the arc caused by opening and closing the contacts is not cleaned by sliding, increasing contact resistance and making contact unstable. However, there were problems such as the occurrence of problems, and it was not possible to fully achieve the intended purpose.

The present invention has focused on this point and has been devised with the aim of obtaining a sliding switch that does not have the above-mentioned problems.
A movable contact having a contact portion formed on the side facing the fixed contact at an interval corresponding to the interval between the fixed contacts and a spring for elastically contacting the movable contact with the fixed contact are incorporated into a contact holder, and the contact holder is attached to the insulating substrate. A roller is disposed on the insulating substrate and is rotatably supported between the fixed contacts of the insulating substrate, and the outer peripheral surface of the roller is set at the same height or slightly higher than the fixed contact surface, and when the roller is in the off position. The present invention proposes a new sliding switch in which the contact part of the movable contact rides on a roller and does not come into contact with the fixed contact. That is,
According to the present invention, the contact surface of the movable contact is constantly cleaned by contacting the roller every time it slides, and since the roller rotates, there is little wear in this area and there is no chance of contact powder clogging. Instability and insulation deterioration are less likely to occur, improving the reliability of the sliding switch and extending its life.

Next, one embodiment of the present invention will be explained with reference to FIGS. 2 to 4. 11 is an insulating substrate, and fixed contact 1
2, 13, and 14 are arranged in a straight line at regular intervals. Reference numeral 15 designates a contact holder which has an operation knob 16 protruding from its upper surface, which is made to protrude outward from a long hole 18 of the case 17 so that it can slide inside the case 17, and a recessed hole in the center of the lower surface. 19, and guide square holes 20 are formed on both sides. Reference numeral 21 denotes a movable contact having an upwardly protruding portion 22 at the center and upwardly bent portions 23 at both ends, thereby forming contact portions 24 at intervals corresponding to the intervals between the fixed contacts 12, 13, and 14. The bent part 23 is inserted into the guide square hole 20 and held, and the concave hole 1
A spring 25 inserted into the convex portion 22 is brought into contact with the upper surface of the convex portion 22 to apply an elastic force toward the insulating substrate 11 . 26 is the fixed contact 12, 1 of the insulating substrate 11
A notch formed between 3 and 13 and 14, 27
is a roller, and the roller 27 has shaft portions 2 at both ends.
8 are inserted into shaft support grooves 29 provided on both sides of the notch 26, thereby being supported within the notch 26. The roller 27 is provided so that its axial direction is perpendicular to the sliding direction of the contact holder 15, and its outer peripheral surface is approximately equal to or slightly higher than the surfaces of the fixed contacts 12 to 14. 30 is a claw for fixing the case 17, and 31 is a claw groove provided in the insulating substrate 11. By inserting the claw 30 into the claw groove 31 and caulking, the case 17 is fixed to the insulating substrate 11 and cannot be slid. The switch is configured. 32 is a lead wire connected to the fixed contacts 12-14.

In the above configuration, by operating the operating knob 16 and sliding the contact holder 15, the connection is switched by short-circuiting between the fixed contacts 12 and 13 or between 13 and 14 with the movable contact 21. , as shown in Figure 2, press the operating knob 1.
6 is located near the center of the elongated hole 18 of the case 17, the contact portion 24 of the movable contact 21 rides on the roller 27 and is in the off state, and as the contact holder 15 slides, the contact portion 24 of the movable contact 21 is in the off state. Tute roller 27
While rotating, the variable contact 21 moves over it.

That is, in the off state, the fixed contacts 12 to 14
Since the movable contact 21 does not come into contact with the movable contact 21, the contact sliding amount of the contact is small and there is less wear. Moreover, since the movable contact 21 moves on the roller 27, there is almost no wear on the movable contact 21 in the OFF position. Since the roller 27 moves while being in contact with the roller 27, a sufficient cleaning effect is achieved, and if the outer peripheral surface of the roller 27 is coated with grease, it is easy to replenish the appropriate amount of grease to the contact surface, resulting in good contact. Not only can the condition be maintained for a long period of time, but also insulation deterioration due to fine powder of the contact material, fine powder of the carbonized insulating substrate material, etc. can be prevented. In addition, when the height of the outer circumferential surface of the roller 27 is made higher than the fixed contact surface, a contact structure having both the advantages of the facing contact type and the sliding contact type is obtained, which is more effective in improving reliability.

In order to replenish the grease with the roller 27 in this way, the outer peripheral surface of the roller 27 is provided with fine flat knurls 27 parallel to the axial direction, as shown in FIG. 4a.
A is cut or fine irregularities 27b are formed on the outer circumferential surface as shown in FIG. 4b to facilitate the adhesion of grease, and these irregularities also make the cleaning action more effective. In addition, the roller 27
The shaft support groove 29 that supports the shaft portion 28 has a width and depth selected to be slightly larger than the shaft diameter of the shaft portion 28.
The roller 27 can be supported reliably and rotatably. Although not shown in the drawings, a moderation mechanism such as a combination of a ball and a recess may be appropriately provided in order to give a sense of moderation to the sliding movement of the contact holder 15 and to position it in the on position and off position.

As described above, in the present invention, a rotatably supported roller is provided between the fixed contacts, and the contact part of the movable contact rides on the roller when it is in the OFF position, so that the contact surface is on the roller. Therefore, it is constantly cleaned, and since the roller rotates, there is less wear on the contact parts, making it possible to obtain a sliding switch that does not cause unstable contact or deterioration of insulation.
