DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a color combination scale that allows color combinations to be determined extremely easily based on various images.

Conventionally, the color cube known as the Munsell system forms a three-dimensional space using a cylindrical coordinate system to perceive color on the surface of an object according to the three attributes of hue, brightness, and saturation, and the Z of the cylindrical coordinate system is The axis corresponds to lightness, θ corresponds to hue, and γ corresponds to saturation. All chromatic colors of the same hue exist on the half plane of θ = const., and γ = const.
There are chromatic colors of each hue with the same saturation on the cylindrical surface. Although the Munsell system can quantitatively represent a single color as a symbol, it has nothing to do with the psychological image that color has.

On the other hand, in order to associate colors with psychological images, Special Publication No. 56-46082 breaks down colors into tone and hue, psychologically analyzes the relationship between these and image language, and differentiates the image language. Arranged three-dimensionally in three-dimensional coordinates in relation to color,
We have proposed a color image scale that facilitates the conversion of colors and image languages.

On such a scale, it is certainly easy to convert to a single color image language or vice versa, but it is also possible to consider combinations of multiple colors based on a comprehensive image, such as an image of elegance or beauty. Furthermore, it has been extremely difficult to select one or more other colors to bring out a specific image in relation to other colors since a certain base color exists.

This type of color combination, or color coordination, can be used for home interiors, clothing combinations, toys, etc.
Although it is necessary in all fields, in the past it was determined only by each individual's taste and long experience, but color coordination based on such experience can vary depending on the individual. It was extremely difficult to carry out uniform coordination as this caused problems and required skill.

In view of the shortcomings of the prior art, the present invention makes it possible to easily select a combination of a plurality of colors based on one overall image, such as an image of elegance or beauty, and also allows a certain base color to exist. To provide a color combination scale that allows one or more other colors to be easily selected so as to bring out a specific image in relation to other colors.

The present invention comprises a substrate in which color samples corresponding to the hues and tones are arranged in a matrix on two-dimensional coordinates consisting of a hue axis and a tone axis that take into account a specific image, and a mask plate in which a plurality of openings are formed. Accordingly, a plurality of color combinations matching a desired overall image can be created.

On the other hand, on the vertical axis, there are soft, mild, adult, and hard.
Divide into four groups in order of brightness, and write in each group a language that has an image (tone) corresponding to the brightness of the achromatic color. For example, achromatic colors arranged in order of lightness
"Light" is the term corresponding to WB brightness 9 in terms of tone.
For VP, enter "Awai" P in the term that corresponds in tone to the lightness of 8.5, and enter "Bright" in the term that corresponds in tone to the lightness of 8, and define these as a soft group. Next, "gentle" Lgr is added to the term that corresponds in tone to a lightness of 7, "smooth" L is added to the term that corresponds in tone to a lightness of 6.5, and "smooth" Gr is added to the term that corresponds in tone to a lightness of 6. These are classified as the mild group. In addition, write DI for "brightness" in the field that corresponds in tone to lightness 5.5, enter V for "vivid" in the field that corresponds in tone to lightness 5, and enter S for "strong" in the field that corresponds in tone to lightness 4. These are considered to be the affluent (adult) group. Finally, add "Fukai" Dp to the term that corresponds to brightness 3.5, and
Enter "Kurai" Dk in the term that corresponds in tone to Lightness 2, and enter "Omoi" Dgr in the term that corresponds in tone to Lightness 2, and define these as a hard group. Then, a color sample that matches the image of each term is attached to each chromatic color matrix portion in which each term is moved in parallel.

Figure 2 is a hue plan view of a semi-ellipse in which all the chromatic colors of the green hue are located by cutting the color cube of the Munsell system into half planes with θ = const. The degree axis is taken as the horizontal axis, and it is divided into 12 parts based on the corresponding color tone, and the color tone determined by the combination of brightness and chroma is described in each part. For example, an area with high brightness and low saturation is Vp (Very Pleasant), and an area with high brightness and intermediate saturation is called Vp (very light).

In other words, the overall image includes elegance, pretty, dandy, gorgeous, modern, moody, casual, etc. These images generally have the same hue with a difference in brightness A, and similar images with similar brightness differences, as shown in Figure 5. The overall image of elegance is achieved by creating an opening 10 with the basic tone color of "easy" and "soft" written on the vertical axis of the board, and also adjusting the brightness difference A between the same hue. Openings 10 with complementary color meanings between similar hues B with similar differences and between opposite colors C with the same lightness.

If c is made to have the same opening area as the basic color opening 10, the opposite color may be too strong and it may be difficult to get a feel for the complementary color. Make it smaller.

For example, if you want profound elegance, you can use the opening 10a in the "full" section, and if you want soft elegance, you can use the opening 10b in the "light" VP section. Also, if you are looking for gentle elegance,
A yellow-green color located on the gentle side of the hue axis (horizontal axis) may be used as the base color. In this case, the mask plate is not laterally shifted.

The overall image of "pretty" is created by drilling an opening 11 with the basic color of "gentle" or "smooth" written on the vertical axis of the board, and also adjusting the brightness difference A between the same hue. Openings 11a, each having a complementary color meaning, are formed between similar hues B with similar differences. In addition, since the overall image of Pretai has a strong soft and mild image, openings 11a of complementary colors are also concentrated in this area. Furthermore, if an opening with a complementary color meaning is formed in the opposite color space C, the color tone becomes too strong and the beauty disappears, so no opening is formed in the opposite color space C.

As described above, according to the present invention, in principle, by laterally shifting the mask plate placed on the substrate, it is possible to easily combine multiple colors based on a comprehensive image, such as an image of elegance or beauty. Also, there is a certain base color, and one or more other colors can be easily selected to bring out a particular image in relation to other colors, and everything that is related to color. We can provide the color combination scale that the industry has been waiting for for a long time.

Furthermore, the present invention allows users to freely create an image based on their own ideas by freely creating openings in a mask plate that does not have openings in front according to their preference. Also, since there is no need to paste color samples one by one, when considering various images,
Extremely convenient. It has the same effect as the above.
