砂収容箱の下流側(但し空気流の流動方向ならび
に土砂の移動方向から見て)に排気兼水切装置を
介して真空ポンプを接続し、該真空ポンプを真空
ポンプ吸引車の走行用エンジンとは全く別の専用
エンジンによつて駆動されることにより、負圧吸
引機構に土砂収集用の負圧を発生させたから、大
気中に含まれている水分は排気兼水切装置によつ
て系外に排出され、真空ポンプには全く水分が流
入しない。従つて真空ポンプは、土砂の負圧吸引
力を良好な水準に維持すると共に、水分の付着に
よる発錆等のない安定した作業条件を長期に亘つ
て持続することができる。
