[Detailed Description of the Invention] [Industrial Application Field] The present invention relates to an air rectifying cover that closes the sides of a gap between a cab and a loading platform. More specifically, the present invention relates to an air rectifying cover integrally attached to an intake duct provided in an intake system of an automobile engine.

Conventionally, a technology has been disclosed in which an air intake port is provided at the front end of a drag oiler or wind deflector, which is an air regulating fluid, and the air taken in from this port is introduced into a snorkel-type intake duct or a roof ventilator (for example, Utsukai Showa 58-

Furthermore, an air introduction structure for an air cleaner in a freight vehicle is disclosed, in which an intake duct connected to the air cleaner is formed in a guard frame installed between the cab and the loading platform (Utility Model Publication No. 58-
15532). This air introduction structure has the advantage that an air introduction passage having the same function as a snorkel-type intake duct can be provided even in a small freight vehicle where the distance between the cab and the cargo bed is narrow.

However, a structure in which air is taken into the intake duct using an air conditioning fluid such as a drag oiler or a wind deflector installed on the roof panel of the cab is a structure that uses air conditioning fluid such as a drag oiler or wind deflector installed on the roof panel of the cab to draw air into the intake duct. It is necessary to provide a special duct for guiding, which increases the weight of the vehicle and worsens fuel efficiency. Moreover, the number of parts and the number of man-hours for their installation also increase, resulting in an increase in costs.

Furthermore, the air introduction structure of the air cleaner in which an intake duct is formed in the guard frame can reduce the weight of the vehicle and solve this problem. However, this air introduction structure has an air introduction port at the top of the guard frame, so it is suitable for small freight vehicles whose engine displacement is relatively small and the amount of air intake is accordingly small. For large freight vehicles with sufficient clearance between the cab and the cargo bed,
The above air introduction structure has a problem in that air is not smoothly introduced into the intake duct, making it difficult to obtain a predetermined amount of air. Furthermore, in the above air introduction structure, rainwater sometimes enters the air cleaner during rainfall.

The purpose of this invention is to rectify the airflow around the cab, allow the airflow to flow smoothly into the intake duct, introduce the necessary and sufficient amount of air, reduce the weight of the intake duct, and improve fuel efficiency. To provide an air rectifying cover with an intake duct which can prevent rainwater from entering an air cleaner when it rains.

The air rectifying cover 10 having such a configuration rectifies the air flow around the cab 11 in order to close the side of the gap between the cab 11 and the loading platform 12. This airflow smoothly flows into the air intake port 14 of the intake duct 13 provided in the rectifier cover 10, so that a necessary and sufficient amount of air can be introduced into the air cleaner 17. Furthermore, the waterproof plate 16 prevents rainwater from entering the airflow into the duct. Don't go inside.

As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, 10 is an air rectifying cover whose front end is attached to both sides of the rear of the cab 11. As shown in FIGS. Since the cab 11 is tilted, the rear end of the air rectifying cover 10 comes into contact with both sides of the front part of the van-shaped loading platform 12. As a result, the air rectifying cover 10 closes the side of the gap between the cab 11 and the loading platform 12. An intake duct 13 is attached in advance to one of the left and right air rectifying covers 10. An air intake port 14 of the intake duct 13 is provided in the upper part of the air rectifying cover 10. The air intake port 14 is formed of a mesh as shown in FIG. 4, and a hood 15 is attached to the periphery of the air intake port 14 except for the rear portion thereof to prevent rainwater from entering during driving. Further, as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, a waterproof plate 16 is provided inside the intake duct 13 facing the air intake port 14 to prevent rainwater from entering the duct. A part of the airflow path from the air intake port 14 of the intake duct 13 to the lower part of the duct body is formed by an air rectifying cover 10, as shown in FIGS. 2 and 5. Further, the base end of the intake duct 13 is connected to an air cleaner 17 having a bellows-shaped duct 18 at the upper part.

Since the air rectifying cover 10 having such a configuration closes the side of the gap between the cab 11 and the loading platform 12,
It can rectify the airflow around the cab and improve aerodynamic characteristics. Then, the rectified air flow passes through the air intake port 14, where coarse dust is passed through the air intake duct 1.
It flows into 3. The incoming air flows into the intake duct 13
The air reaches the air cleaner 17 through the air flow passage.

Since the air rectifying cover 10 forms a part of the air flow path of the intake duct 13, the weight of the vehicle can be reduced compared to when both are separately attached to the vehicle.

To install the intake duct 13, attach the air rectifying cover 10 to the side of the gap between the cab 11 and the loading platform 12, and connect the base end of the intake duct 13 to the serpentine duct 18.
This can be easily done by connecting to the air cleaner 17 by compressing the air.

Although this embodiment shows an example in which an intake duct is provided on one of the left and right air rectifying covers, it is also possible to improve the air rectifying effect above the cab by connecting the upper parts of the left and right covers.

In particular, unlike the conventional structure in which an air intake port is provided in the air regulating fluid and air is taken into the intake duct from there, the air regulating cover of the present invention forms a part of the air flow passage of the intake duct, so it is a shunorkel type. In addition to silencing the intake air of the intake duct and preventing inhalation of water and dust, the number of man-hours required for installing the intake duct can be reduced, and the weight of the intake duct can be reduced to improve fuel efficiency.

Furthermore, by providing a waterproof plate, it is possible to prevent rainwater that gets mixed into the air flow during rain from entering the duct.
