The present invention relates to an anti-fog coated article with improved abrasion resistance without sacrificing excellent anti-fog properties. A disadvantage of conventionally used transparent materials such as plastics and inorganic glasses is that when the surface temperature falls below the dew point of the environment, the transparency itself is lost causing clouding, which is a great inconvenience.
For this reason, coating methods for forming an antifogging coating film on the surface of transparent materials have been researched and various attempts have been made. For example, it is known that a coating film containing hydroxyethyl methacrylate polymer or polyvinyl alcohol as the main component is formed, but this and all other anti-fog coatings that have been tried so far have not had anti-fog properties. Although it has been satisfactory to some extent, it has the drawbacks of being extremely susceptible to scratches, having poor abrasion resistance, and poor weather resistance, so it has not been put into practical use yet. The present inventors previously filed a patent application for an anti-fog coating composition that has both anti-fog properties and abrasion resistance (Japanese Patent Application No. 1971-71747 and Japanese Patent Application No. 1983-71748).
There was a limit to the ability of a single coating film to fully satisfy the conflicting properties of antifogging and abrasion resistance. Therefore, as a result of intensive research into ways to further improve wear resistance without impairing antifogging properties, we found that under the antifogging coating film, which has antifogging properties, a hydrolyzate of an epoxy group-containing organosilane compound was added. It has been discovered that this object can be achieved by providing a highly hard coating layer mainly composed of . That is, the present invention has the general formula () on the surface of plastic molding material or glass. (In the formula, R 6 represents a hydrogen atom, R 7 represents a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group, and Y is a side chain having a carboxyl group or an amino group.) ) or general expression () (In the formula, R 8 represents a hydrogen atom, R 9 represents a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group having 1 to 5 carbon atoms, and Z represents a hydroxyl group-containing side chain.) and the general formula () (In the formula, R 10 is a hydrogen atom, R 11 is a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group having 1 to 5 carbon atoms, and W is a carboxyl group, an alkoxycarbonyl group, an amino group, a substituted amino group, an epoxy group, or It is a side chain having a tetrahydrofuryl group.) A resin film made of polymer (e) having each of the repeating structural units represented by ) (However, in the formula, R 1 is an organic group having an epoxy group,
R 2 is hydrogen, a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, or

It is 3. ) A hydrolyzate (a) of an epoxy group-containing organosilane compound to which a curing catalyst (i) is added, or a hydrolyzate (a) and an organic compound (b) having one or more epoxy groups in the molecule. The curing catalyst (i) is added to the mixture (c) of (In the formula, R 4 and R 5 each independently represent a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group, and X represents a side chain having an epoxy group.) Polymer or copolymer containing at least 20% by weight of the repeating structural unit 20 ~75 parts by weight. (B) An overcoat layer made by curing a product containing 25 to 80 parts by weight of a polyhydric alcohol having an ethylene oxide chain, a total of 100 parts by weight of the above (A) and (B), and further adding a curing catalyst (ii). This is an anti-fog coated article. General formula used to form the undercoat layer in the present invention (However, in the formula, R 1 is an organic group having an epoxy group,
R 2 is hydrogen, a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms or a vinyl group, R 3 is a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 5 carbon atoms, an alkoxyalkyl group or an acyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, a is 1 to 3, b is 0 to 2 and a+b≦3
It is. ) Examples of the epoxy group-containing organic silane compounds include the following. Specific examples of silane compounds having one glycidoxy group include glycidoxymethyltrimethoxysilane, glycidoxymethyltriethoxysilane, β-glycidoxyethyltrimethoxysilane, β-glycidoxyethyltriethoxysilane, γ-glycidoxypropyltrimethoxysilane, γ-glycidoxypropyltriethoxysilane, γ-glycidoxypropyltri(methoxyethoxy)silane, γ-glycidoxypropyltriacetoxysilane, δ-glycidoxybutyltri Methoxysilane, δ-glycidoxybutyltriethoxysilane, glycidoxymethyldimethoxysilane, glycidoxymethyl(methyl)dimethoxysilane, glycidoxymethyl(ethyl)dimethoxysilane, glycidoxymethyl(phenyl)dimethoxysilane, Glycidoxymethyl (vinyl) dimethoxysilane, glycidoxymethyl (dimethyl) methoxysilane, β-glycidoxyethyl (methyl) dimethoxysilane, β-glycidoxyethyl (ethyl) dimethoxysilane, β-glycidoxyethyl (dimethyl)methoxysilane, γ-glycidoxypropyl(methyl)dimethoxysilane, γ-glycidoxypropyl(ethyl)dimethoxysilane, γ-glycidoxypropyl(dimethyl)methoxysilane, δ-glycidoxybutyl(methyl) ) dimethoxysilane, δ-glycidoxybutyl(ethyl)dimethoxysilane, δ-glycidoxybutyl(dimethyl)methoxysilane, Specific examples of silane compounds having an alicyclic epoxy group include 3,4-epoxycyclohexylmethyl Trimethoxysilane, 3,4-epoxycyclohexylmethyltriethoxysilane, 3,4-epoxycyclohexylethyltrimethoxysilane, 3,4-epoxycyclohexylpropyltrimethoxysilane, 3,4-epoxycyclohexylbutyltrimethoxysilane. be able to. In addition, the hydrolyzate (a) of an epoxy group-containing organic silane compound is a part of an alkoxy group, an alkoxyalkyl group, or an acyloxy group in one or more epoxy group-containing organic silanes represented by the above general formula. It includes those completely substituted with hydroxyl groups and those in which substituted hydroxyl groups are partially condensed naturally. These epoxy-containing organic silane hydrolysates can be obtained, as is known, by hydrolyzing an epoxy group-containing organic silane in a mixed solvent such as water and alcohol in the presence of an acid. In addition to the hydrolyzate of the epoxy group-containing organic silane compound (a), the organic compound (b) having one or more epoxy groups that can form an undercoat layer is not particularly limited as long as it is a normal epoxy compound, and the following can be used. Things can be mentioned. Polyhydric phenols such as glycidol, bisphenol A, bisphenol F, resorcinol and novolak resin, or ethylene glycol, polyethylene glycol, propylene glycol,
Polyhydric alcohols such as polypropylene glycol, glycerin, diglycerol, neopentyl glycol, trimethylolpropane, pentaerythritol, and sorbitol, polyglycidyl ethers obtained from epichlorohydrin, and polybasic acids such as phthalic acid, hexahydrophthalic acid, and dimer acid. Polyglycidyl ester obtained from epichlorohydrin, aniline, toluidine, 4,
Polyglycidylamines obtained from amines such as 4'-diaminodiphenylmethane and isocyanuric acid and epichlorohydrin, as well as cycloaliphatic epoxy resins such as cyclopentadiene dioxide and cyclohexene oxide, and polymers with epoxy groups as side chains, such as glycidyl. These include methacrylate polymers or copolymers. When the above (a) and (b) are used as a mixture, there is no particular restriction on the mixing ratio, but for the purpose of the present invention, it is more preferable that (a) be added to the total amount of (a) and (b). 50
It is desirable that the amount is at least % by weight. When (a) is less than 50% by weight, the improvement in abrasion resistance by providing an undercoat layer is small. Here, the hydrolyzate (a) or the mixture (c) is cured by heating using the curing catalyst (i). Curing catalysts (i) include perchloric acid, hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, phosphoric acid, sulfuric acid, sulfonic acid, para-toluenesulfonic acid, boron trifluoride and its complex with an electron donor. Boric acid organic esters such as ethyl borate and methyl borate. Alkali such as sodium hydroxide and potassium hydroxide. Titanate esters such as tetrabutoxytitanium and tetraisopropoxytitanium. Metal acetylacetonates such as chromium acetylacetonate, titanyl acetylacetonate, aluminum acetylacetonate, cobalt acetylacetonate, and nickel acetylacetonate. n-
Butylamine, di-n-butylamine, tri-n
-Amines such as butylamine, guanidine, biguanide, imidazole, etc. Examples include ammonium perchlorate. Among these catalysts, ammonium perchlorate can be particularly preferably used. That is, when ammonium perchlorate is used, the pot life of the coating composition as a paint is long, the curing conditions such as bake hardening degree and time are practical, and the water resistance and adhesion of the coating film are particularly excellent. It is from. If the amount of curing catalyst added is too small, the time required for curing will be long, and if it is too large, it tends to worsen the water resistance or cause the coating film to become colored. 0.01 to 10 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of (c),
It is desirable to add preferably 0.05 to 5 parts by weight. The paint used to form the undercoat layer is
It is prepared by appropriately diluting a mixture of the above (a) or (c) and curing catalyst (i) with a solvent. Examples of solvents that can be used include methanol and other alcohols, methyl cellosolve and other ethers, methyl ethyl ketone and other ketones, and methyl acetate and other esters, which may be used alone or in a mixed solvent. May be used in the form A flow control agent may be further added to this as necessary. The paint prepared as described above is applied to the surface of a plastic molding material or glass by a coating method such as a dipping method, a spraying method, a roller coating method, or a flow coating method. An undercoat layer is formed by heating and curing at a temperature below the deformation temperature. The thickness of the undercoat layer must be somewhat thick for the purpose of the present invention, and is suitably 1 to 20 microns thick. If it is too thin, not only the abrasion resistance will not be improved but also the adhesion will deteriorate. Moreover, if it is too thick, it becomes difficult to obtain a smooth coating film. Note that since the undercoat layer is further coated with an anti-fog topcoat layer, it should not be completely cured, but should be cured to a degree that does not deteriorate adhesion to the topcoat layer. It is preferable to keep it at . However, when the topcoat layer is cured,
The undercoat layer is also completely cured. Next, the overcoat layer will be explained. (A) component used to form the top coat layer,

ポリオキシエチレンアルキルエーテル型
R−O(CH2CH2O)−oH、ポリオキシエチレン
アルキルアリールエーテル型[Formula] (In the formula, R 4 and R 5 each independently represent a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group, and X represents a side chain having an epoxy group.) ) or copolymers (including cooligomers) can be obtained by polymerizing or copolymerizing vinyl monomers having at least one epoxy group in the molecule as exemplified below. Specific examples of vinyl monomers having epoxy groups include glycidyl methacrylate and acrylate, β-glycidoxyethyl methacrylate and acrylate, 3,4-epoxybutyl methacrylate and acrylate, 4,5-epoxypentyl methacrylate and acrylate, allyl Examples include glycidyl ether. Component (A) may be not only a homopolymer or copolymer of a vinyl monomer having an epoxy group, but also a copolymer of a vinyl monomer having an epoxy group and another monomer copolymerizable with it. . That is, other vinyl monomers such as methacrylic acid and acrylic esters such as methyl methacrylate and acrylate, ethyl methacrylate and acrylate, butyl methacrylate and acrylate, hydroxyethyl methacrylate and acrylate, diethylene glycol monomethacrylate and acrylate, methacrylic acid and acrylic General polymerizable vinyl heavy materials such as acid, styrene, and vinyl acetate can be used as the other monomer. However, if the proportion of repeating structural units represented by the above general formula contained in component (A) is too small, the abrasion resistance of the coating film will decrease. The content is preferably 40% by weight or more. In addition, considering component (A) from the viewpoint of its production, if you try to polymerize only the vinyl monomer having an epoxy group, it will tend to gel due to self-crosslinking. It is preferable to copolymerize it with other copolymerizable monomers. The polyhydric alcohol having an ethylene oxide chain used as component (B) of the top coat layer of the present invention is a polyhydric alcohol having at least one chain (-CH 2 CH 2 O)- in the molecule. If the molecular weight of the polyhydric alcohol having an ethylene oxide chain is too large, the reactivity of the hydroxyl group will decrease, making curing difficult and sufficient film formation properties cannot be obtained. The molecular weight of the polyhydric alcohol having an ethylene oxide chain is preferably within the range of 100 to 3,000, and a particularly preferable range is 200 to 2,000, since sufficient antifogging properties cannot be obtained if the amount of ethylene oxide is small. Typical polyhydric alcohols having ethylene oxide chains that can be applied to the present invention include diethylene glycol, triethylene glycol, molecular weight
Polyethylene glycol with a molecular weight of 100 to 3000, preferably 200 to 2000, general formula HO CnH 2 nOH (n
= 3 to 10) diols with 1 to 10, preferably 1 to 7, ethylene oxide chains added to both ends, and polyesters such as glycerin, trimethylolpropane, diglycerin, pentaerythritol, adonitol, sorbitol, and inositol. Hydrolic alcohols in which an ethylene oxide chain is added to at least one hydroxyl group, and mixtures thereof can be used. In particular, the following formula (In the formula, n 1 to n n are each independently an integer of 0 to 7, and at least two of them are integers of 1 or more, and m is an integer of 3 to 9.) Ethylene represented by A polyhydric alcohol having an oxide chain, especially in the above formula, n 1 to n n is 1 to 5
Compounds are preferred. In the present invention, the components (A) and (B) are used at a ratio of 20 to 75 parts by weight and 25 to 80 parts by weight, respectively (however, a total of 100 parts by weight), but more preferably 40 parts by weight each.
~70 parts by weight, preferably 30 to 60 parts by weight. If the amount of component (A) exceeds 75 parts by weight, that is, if the amount of component (B) is less than 25 parts by weight, the antifogging performance will be significantly reduced and at the same time a transparent and smooth film will not be obtained. Furthermore, if the component (A) is less than 20 parts by weight, that is, if the component (B) exceeds 80 parts by weight, the hot water resistance will be poor and the abrasion resistance will not be sufficient. As the curing catalyst (ii) used in the top coat layer of the present invention, the same ones as those exemplified above as the curing catalyst (i) can be mentioned. Among these catalysts, ammonium perchlorate can be particularly preferably used. In other words, when ammonium perchlorate is used, the pot life of the coating composition as a paint is long, the curing conditions such as baking curing temperature and time are practical, and the water resistance and
This is because it has particularly excellent adhesion. If the amount of curing catalyst added is too small, the time required for curing will be long, and if it is too large, it tends to worsen the water resistance or cause the coating film to become discolored. It is desirable to add 0.05 to 20 parts by weight, more preferably 0.1 to 10 parts by weight, per 100 parts by weight of B) and the optional crosslinking agent. In the overcoat layer of the present invention, it is not necessary to further contain a crosslinking agent in addition to the component (A), the component (B), and the curing catalyst, but a crosslinking agent may be contained. In particular, by using a crosslinking agent containing an epoxy group as a crosslinking agent, the abrasion resistance of the coating film of the present invention can be further improved. The epoxy group-containing crosslinking agent used here is:
Examples include the following. Polyhydric phenols such as bisphenol A, bisphenol F, resorcinol and novolak resin, or polyphenols such as ethylene glycol, polyethylene glycol, propylene glycol, polypropylene glycol, glycerin, diglycerol, neopentyl glycol, trimethylolpropane, pentaerythritol, and sorbitol. Polyglycidyl ethers obtained from hydrohydric alcohols and epichlorohydrin, polyglycidyl esters obtained from epichlorohydrin and polybasic acids such as phthalic acid, hexahydrophthalic acid, and dimer acid, aniline, toluidine, 4,4'-diaminodiphenylmethane, and isocyanuric acid. Polyglycidylamine obtained from amines such as acids and epichlorohydrin, alicyclic epoxy resins such as cyclopentadiene dioxide and cyclohexene oxide, organic alkoxysilanes having epoxy groups such as γ-glycidoxypropyltrimethoxysilane, or Examples include hydrolysates of organic alkoxysilanes. These compounds can be used alone or in a mixture of two or more. The amount of crosslinking agent, especially those having epoxy groups, is (A) and (B)
It is preferable to add 3 to 80 parts by weight, more preferably 5 to 60 parts by weight, based on a total of 100 parts by weight of the components. As described above, it is also possible to improve the webness by adding a surfactant to the top coat, which is composed of (A), (B), a curing catalyst, and a crosslinking agent added as necessary. As the surfactant, conventionally known surfactants can be used without particular limitation, but polyoxyethylene type nonionic surfactants are particularly preferably used. Specifically, polyoxyethylene alkyl ether type R-O (CH 2 CH 2 O) - o H, polyoxyethylene alkyl aryl ether type

The top coat of the present invention is usually diluted to a concentration suitable for application. Examples of the solvent used for this dilution include alcohols, ketones, esters, ethers, cellosolves, halides, carboxylic acids, aromatic compounds, etc., and these may be used alone or in combination. It may also be used as a mixed solvent of the above. Among these, lower alcohols (e.g. methanol, ethanol, propanol, butanol) and cellosolves (e.g. methyl cellosolve,
Ethyl cellosolve, butyl cellosolve), lower alkyl carboxylic acids (e.g., formic acid, acetic acid, propionic acid), aromatic compounds (e.g., toluene, xylene), and esters (e.g., ethyl acetate, butyl acetate) can be used alone or as a mixed solvent. preferable. If necessary, a flow control agent can be added to the top coat paint in order to obtain a smooth coating film. A small amount of the flow control agent is sufficient, and the purpose can be achieved with an amount of 5% by weight or less based on the solid content of the paint. After forming the undercoat layer with the above topcoat paint, apply it by a coating method such as dipping, spraying, roller coating, or flow coating, and then baking at a temperature below the deformation temperature of the base material for 15 minutes to 5 hours. A top coat layer is formed by curing. The preferred thickness of the top coat layer after baking hardening is 1 to 1.
40 microns, more preferably 3-30 microns. If it is less than 1 micron, antifogging properties and abrasion resistance will not be sufficient, and if it is more than 40 microns, hot water resistance will deteriorate. As described above, the anti-fog coated article obtained by forming an undercoat layer and a topcoat layer on the surface of a plastic molding material or glass has excellent abrasion resistance and Maintains similar anti-fog properties. In order to further increase the adhesion between the undercoat layer and the substrate in the above-mentioned antifogging coated article, the substrate is pretreated with a primer. Especially when using polycarbonate plastic as a substrate, primer treatment is essential. A primer paint particularly suitable for polycarbonate plastic substrates is the general formula () (In the formula, R 6 represents a hydrogen atom, R 7 represents a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group, and Y is a side chain having a carboxyl group or an amino group.) Polymer (d) having a repeating structural unit represented by or general expression () (In the formula, R 8 represents a hydrogen atom, R 9 represents a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group having 1 to 5 carbon atoms, and Z represents a hydroxyl group-containing side chain.) and the general formula () (In the formula, R 10 is a hydrogen atom, R 11 is a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group having 1 to 5 carbon atoms, and W is a carboxyl group, an alkoxycarbonyl group, an amino group, a substituted amino group, an epoxy group, or This is a paint whose main component is a polymer (e) having each of the repeating structural units shown in (a side chain having a tetrahydrofuryl group). The above polymer (d) contains at least 5 mol%, more preferably 20 to 100 mol%, of repeating structural units represented by the general formula (), and the polymer (e) contains the repeating structural units represented by the general formula () and ( )
It is preferable to contain at least 25 mol% of each repeating structural unit, more preferably 5 to 90 mol% of each repeating structural unit. A suitable polymer (d) can be easily produced by copolymerizing the following vinyl monomers alone or with other copolymerizable monomers. That is, examples of the above-mentioned vinyl monomers include acrylic acid, methacrylic acid, crotonic acid, vinyl acetic acid, maleic acid, itaconic acid, aminomethyl (meth)acrylate, (meth)acrylamide, and crotonamide. It may be used or two or more types may be used in combination. Other monomers copolymerizable with the above vinyl monomer and vinyl monomers (f) and (g) described below include:
Any compound having at least one ethylenically unsaturated bond in its molecule can be used, such as olefins such as ethylene, diolefins such as butadiene, vinyl chloride, vinylidene chloride, and acrylonitrile. and esters of acrylic acid or methacrylic acid such as methyl (meth)acrylate. These monomers can be used alone or in combination of two or more. Also, preferable examples of the above polymer (e) include the following vinyl monomers (f) and vinyl monomers (g).
can be produced by copolymerizing these vinyl monomers with other monomers that can be copolymerized, if necessary. Furthermore, the polymer (e) obtained by copolymerizing the above vinyl monomer (f) and vinyl monomer (g) with other monomers that can be copolymerized with these vinyl monomers may be used as a blend of two or more types. It is possible. Examples of the vinyl monomer (f) include:

It is not absolutely necessary for the above-mentioned primer paint to contain a crosslinking agent. However, when an undercoat is applied, the organic solvent in the undercoat may erode the primer layer, resulting in a decrease in the adhesion of the undercoat. In order to prevent this, it is preferable to include a crosslinking agent in the primer coating. Examples of crosslinking agents that can be used include polyhydric alcohols such as 1,4-butanediol, glycerin, and polyethylene glycol. Melamines such as methylolmelamine and alkyl etherified methylolmelamine. Included are polyfunctional epoxy compounds such as ethylene glycol diglycidyl ether and glycerol polyglycidyl ether, and organoalkoxysilanes such as epoxysilane aminosilane. These crosslinking agents may be used alone,
Alternatively, two or more types may be used in combination. The amount used is generally 0.05 to 0.7 equivalent per equivalent of the functional group (carboxyl group, amino group, substituted amino group, hydroxyl group, epoxy group, or tetrahydrofuryl group) in the polymer (d) or polymer (e), More preferably, it is used in an amount of 0.1 to 0.4 equivalent. Examples of crosslinking catalysts used with this crosslinking agent include hydrochloric acid, ammonium chloride, ammonium nitrate, ammonium thiocyanate, ammonium perchlorate, triethylamine, N,N-dimethylaminopropylamine, tin octylate, etc. Generally, it is appropriate to use the amount in the range of 0.05 to 0.8 gram equivalent per 1 gram equivalent of the crosslinking agent. Moreover, this crosslinking catalyst may be used without a crosslinking agent. In this case, the amount used is the above polymer (d) or (e).
It is suitably used in a proportion of 0.01 to 1.0 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight. Before use, the primer paint is diluted to a concentration suitable for the application job. Examples of diluents that can be used include methanol and other alcohols;
Methyl cellosolve and other ethers, methyl ethyl ketone and other ketones, methyl acetate and other esters are included, and these may be used alone or in the form of a mixed solvent.
The degree of dilution depends on whether the polymer (d) or polymer (e) is
The content is preferably 0.1 to 25% by weight, more preferably 0.5 to 15% by weight. The primer paint may also contain small amounts of conventional paint additives, such as flow control agents, if necessary. A coating material containing the above polymer (d) or polymer (e) as a main component, to which a crosslinking agent, a crosslinking catalyst, a diluent, and a flow control agent are added as necessary, is applied to the surface of a polycarbonate plastic molded article. Then, a primer layer is obtained by drying the resulting coating film and, if necessary, baking it at a temperature lower than the heat distortion temperature of the plastic molded article. The preferred thickness of this primer layer is 0.1 to 3 microns. The present invention will be explained in more detail with reference to Examples below, but the present invention is not limited by these Examples. Note that parts in the examples indicate parts by weight. Furthermore, the performance of the coating film was evaluated using the following method. In other words, the method for measuring antifogging properties is to take a sample kept at -10℃ and place it in an atmosphere of 22℃ and 60% RH.
Observe whether cloudiness occurs at that time. Wear resistance was measured by applying a load of 2 kg with a brass wire brush (Yoji type 4-row type) and rubbing.
The scratch resistance was examined and judged as follows. A: No scratches B: Slight scratches C: Scratches Adhesion was tested using a cross-cut tape test, i.e., using a knife to draw 11 parallel lines vertically and horizontally at 1 mm intervals on the surface of the coating, creating 100 squares. After cross-cutting and adhering cellophane adhesive tape on it, peel off the tape and indicate the number of squares that do not peel off among the 100 squares. Hot water resistance was determined by immersing the sample in boiling water for 30 minutes and then examining the state of the coating film.
